I'm fairly certain a war with North Korea would become a regional conflict including China and Russia. The thought that it would be 'USA vs North Korea' only would be ludicrous.

I guess, since I'm speaking for all liberals, I'll explain. Liberals don't want war with either country. Russia, while bad, is still a rational actor. We can take steps like sanctions towards them and feel confident that they won't launch a nuclear strike.

North Korea is not rational. Trump shoveling his extra special brand of crazy at them is not smart. It's not strategy. It's an angry old man tweeting stupid **** because he feels threatened.

Compared to a rational actor like Russia.... Where Putin often threatens he has nukes. Putin invades Crimea (and gets to keep it). Putin flies fighters in no fly zones. Putin arms Assad in the Syrian civil war and drops bombs on the rebels the US supported. Putin moves nukes in plain view to the Polish border. Putin tampers with US Elections. Putin supposedly assassinates those that oppose him, such as the media.
