Incorrect...slowly jobs did come back but many were low paying and corp. inversions were killing us. Trump has somewhat halted that. Please learn facts before posting your stupid opinions. This is directly related to what I do for work and BO was the WORST president for the economy. The improvement began because people knew his 2nd terms was about to expire and he would be long gone.

It is more trade related than a union issue. Countries have dumped cheap goods here, while we struggle to compete abroad. We need better trade deals. We are not running a charity for the rest of the world. We stand a better chance to lead with a strong economy here. Let the others worry about competing. Sorry if that sounds cold, but we have done enough favors for awhile...

A year old article but some good insight...

We stupidly feeling bad about WWII allowed Japan to produce many of our electronics cheaply putting companies such as Zenith out of business. We figured that so long as we produce steel, etc. we'd be fine. Of course now tech is king and companies like Sony, Panasonic, Samsung, etc. are prospering. China offers super cheap labor as does India. Correct 1000%.

You sound like someone who got the 6th grade explanation of how government works and nothing else. The executive branch has tons of autonomous power. Judicial appointments, agency directives, executive orders, prioritizing resources, etc. The only thing we've got working for us now is the fact that Trump is totally incompetent and doesn't actually care about governing. If he had a real agenda, or allowed someone with a real agenda to influence him, they could do a lot of damage.

They could completely **** up the environment, kill net neutrality, wreck foreign relations. There are no checks on those things.

Trump appointed a head of the FCC who is openly hostile towards net neutrality. He repealed environmental regulations and pulled out of the Paris agreement. He hasn't staffed the state department to adequately levels and has relied on diplomacy-by-twitter.

Those things are already happening.

Paris accord was nothing more than "Yep, we'll do that" with no repercussions if you don't.

The head of the FCC has announced plans to eliminate title II classification. Maybe it won't happen, but it's reasonable to think it will.

We have worse relations with the 19 other countries in the G20. Especially Germany and France.

We have worse relations with Mexico.
