D.E.A.L. is drafted by player though right, rather than season? So, you could could pick say, Clayton Kershaw (who I presume has been drafted before) and then choose to use the 2017 version?

That's true, and after thinking about it further, I'm ok with keeping with that tradition. For the stadium round, though, I ask that everyone post their team salary with their final draft pick.

I just put together my $80M team. That was the most fun I've had putting together a team in a long time; possibly ever. It took me about 5 hours. I know I need to go back and double-check that it's compliant but there's no way I could handle the disappoint if I did it tonight so I'll save it until tomorrow.

The last player in my chain (David Wright) has several usable seasons so I have some wiggle room to deal with the salary updates. I hope it's enough wiggle room because I like this team.

Is there any way to look at how much a player's salary has changed with each update, without having the player on one of your active teams?

Of course, now that I've posted this and spent all that time making this team I'll probably go in the tank and not qualify for round 2.

I don't think there is any easy way.

But you should be fine unless you have obvious cookies like Toney or Milacki.

I did my 70M team for this round before the updates, and it barely moved. In fact, this caused problems. I had $17.5M from two of the teams making it up, and I thought the salary update would increase someone enough to get me to the $18M minimum. But they barely moved, and I had to add a player from each of those teams. So I bet you'll be fine; most players at this cap aren't moving much any more.

I have spreadsheet with all these salary changes. Sitemail me your email and I will send it to you

What will count as unique parks for the 255M league? Will Pacific Bell and SBC count as different parks? Will parks that get used by two teams and so have two entries count as different parks?

Despite the fact that there can be differences (such as in Park Factor), a "park" will be a unique real life structure. So AT&T / SBC / Pac Bell will be a single park. Parks that were used by multiple teams and therefore have multiple entries (such as Municipal) will only be available once.

Also, in case this was not previously clear, the stadium round will be a single round that includes all 24 owners.

Thanks.

And yes, it turns out that based on previous salary updates my assembled chain roster's total salary is projected to increase by about $100K, meaning I will have to go with the cheaper David Wright, which will leave me with $200K below the cap, which will annoy me to no end to the point that I'll completely revamp the team.

Interestingly, it turns out that I have a couple of cookies in my chain that I had no idea were cookies. I guess that makes some sense given that the chain league is at the open league cap level. My cookie awareness level is next to zero given that I never play on OLs.

Also interestingly, it appears that players whose salaries change significantly from one update to the next have seen almost identical changes on a percentage basis across each update. Which means that these salary increases do not appear to be having a significant effect on usage patterns. At least not yet.

I (and others) have communicated this concern to admin. Not sure if they are going to change the formula or not.

Yep, I re-submitted an earlier ticket on this a few days ago. With new people now in charge, we'll see.

I suspect (as someone suggested in another thread) that they haven't reset the usage counter to 0 after each cycle. Maybe they meant to do that, but it hasn't worked. I've made that kind of coding error before, and it can be pretty easy to make.

I just don't believe that 1908 Addie Joss is still one of the 5 most used players in the sim after all these salary bumps.

For $90M, certain pitchers have split seasons and combined seasons. If we remove the MOST EXPENSIVE season, can we use a split season for that pitcher?

Example: 1977 Tom Seaver
