Trump: Worst President Ever? Topic

Oh the status quo sucked. These people in DC go through life blindfolded. Donald will shake it up. He will sneak up behind them, kick them square in the ***, in the twins. People will be exposed for the frauds that they are. People will be held accountable again. Love him or hate him, DC will be a better place. People are engaged, much more than before. They are taking action. They are talking about it at the dinner table.

Villanueva did not abandon his team. He put country ahead of teammates. He stood for what he believes in. A way of life that means more to him than some idiots that think they are somehow making a statement. They could choose to honor their country, find another way of protesting. Instead they spit on their country. Millionaires, blessed with physical gifts, playing a game for a living. I will protest them. As is my right.

Colin Kaepernick may have done this country a great service, unintentionally. For too long, we have put professional athletes and Hollywood bigshots on a pedestal. They are anointed as gods. They live lavish lifestyles. But they fail to appreciate their country, their opportunity. That somehow they are entitled. They need to remember those that made all of this possible. Generations whose service and sacrifice paid for this freedom. It is not too much to ask of them, to ask of themselves. Do that much, then voice your complaint.

Ask me how I feel. I direct you to Chicago Stadium, in 1991, the NHL AllStar game. The singing of the anthem...we knew who we were then. Who are we now?

They have the right to protest. But there is something to be said for good and decent. People like that. You can disagree with policy, but do it without spitting on soldiers at the airport, as they return home from war, or burning a flag, or having your picture taken on an anti aircraft gun with a group of Viet Cong... Go about your protests the right way. Otherwise you risk alienating people...

Reminder: Obama Paid the NFL Millions to Be Patriotic
Timothy Meads | September 24, 2017

President Donald J. Trump doubled down his rhetoric against National Football League (NFL) players who refuse to stand for the national anthem on Sunday morning, but fans should be reminded the NFL's patriotism is relatively new in the league.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell claims that the "NFL and players are at our best when we help create a sense of unity in our country and our culture" but their weekly show of support towards members of the American military began only after NFL owners realized they could make money off it.

In 2009, Barack Obama's Department of Defense began paying hundreds of thousands towards teams in a marketing strategy designed to show support for the troops and increase recruitments. The NFL then required all players and personnel to be on the sidelines during the national anthem, in exchange for taxpayers dollars. Prior, the national anthem was played in the stadium but players had the option of staying in the locker room before heading out to the field.

Furthermore, teams that showed "Veteran's Salutes" during games were paid upwards of $5.1 million dollars.

Great solidarity for our National Anthem and for our Country. Standing with locked arms is good, kneeling is not acceptable. Bad ratings!

Please to inform that the Champion Pittsburgh Penguins of the NHL will be joining me at the White House for Ceremony. Great team!

Courageous Patriots have fought and died for our great American Flag --- we MUST honor and respect it! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

Sports fans should never condone players that do not stand proud for their National Anthem or their Country. NFL should change policy!

So proud of NASCAR and its supporters and fans. They won't put up with disrespecting our Country or our Flag - they said it loud and clear!

Many people booed the players who kneeled yesterday (which was a small percentage of total). These are fans who demand respect for our Flag!

The issue of kneeling has nothing to do with race. It is about respect for our Country, Flag and National Anthem. NFL must respect this!
