Growth was absolutely too slow. A jobs program would have helped. More stimulus spending would have helped. Not going through with the sequestration would have helped.

Those things are, at least partly, on Obama.

But the idea that Obama was a disaster and Trump isn't, is ridiculous.
Trump may turn out to be a disaster. It's too early to tell. My problem is that we don't know what effects his policies will have. We know that Obama failed. There is plenty of data to prove it. Trump hasn't done anything to fail yet, which may be a failure in itself.
Obama did not fail.
Because of his great strides where, exactly?

Healthcare, climate, foreign affairs were all good IMO.

It is more about what he represented, no one is saying Obama was a great president. But he is wayyyy better than trump.

You have no idea how a Trump presidency will look like after 8 years. So far so good from a statistical standpoint.

It is a fact that Obama did nothing special, and not much of anything that will last, historically... Other than being the first black president.

What did Obama represent? He made a messed up healthcare system worse. He made the cost of running a business more expensive driving people out of business (We need to be good stewards of our environment, but it can be done without driving regulations costs to unsustainable highs), he let N. Korea have their way, he lied about why an ambassador was killed, he made a crappy Iran deal. What makes him wayyy better than Trump?

ITTSBURGH (AP) — An anti-abortion congressman asked a woman with whom he was having an extramarital affair to get an abortion when he thought she might be pregnant, a newspaper reported Tuesday.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette said it obtained text messages between Republican U.S. Rep. Tim Murphy of Pennsylvania and Shannon Edwards. A Jan. 25 text message from Edwards said the congressman had "zero issue posting your pro-life stance all over the place when you had no issue asking me to abort our unborn child just last week when we thought that was one of the options," according to the paper.

A text message from Murphy's number in response said the staff was responsible for his anti-abortion messages: "I've never written them. Staff does them. I read them and winced. I told staff don't write any more."

What is this supposed to prove? That all politicians from both sides are scum? I thought that was common knowledge.

And he was followed by the first retarded President.
Not true. Nixon followed Johnson, Carter followed Ford, GW followed Clinton, and Obama followed GW. There are four retards for you right there.
P.S. liberals aren't supposed to use that word. Its offensive.

The ACA improved healthcare.

The cost of premiums to consumers is about the same. I will concede that it slowed healthcare inflation. Deductibles are MUCH more expensive. It has added significant amounts of money to the national debt. Providers are rapidly pulling out of states. More people are insured, but it's very difficult for people on Obamacare to find a doctor that will treat them. It actually made a broken system worse. The problem with the republican idea of repeal without an adequate replacement is that there is a good bit of good in it. My wife is deaf in one ear. She couldn't get coverage before. She is now covered, but all in all, the program is way too expensive and too large of a strain on our country.
