Faux Outrage, Silly Tantrums, & a Nation for Sale Topic

If anyone commits treason, I support hanging them. I'm not sure we actually hang anyone anymore, and I thought the Left opposed the death penalty, but I'll go along with you anyway.

Hang anyone who commits treason! Including Pence's wife's jersey!

Not sure which NFL you watch, but I've seen a lot of protesters playing. One guy, who had been benched due to marginal competency, opted out of the last year of his contract where he stood to earn $16.9 million. If that doesn't show he lacks the judgment to be a starting NFL QB, I'm not sure what does.

So there's 1 unemployed protester. And you can't think of 1 NFL racist, rapist, or murderer whose unemployed? the media loves people who don't research or think for themselves. click $, click $, click $
Ummm if, say, Taco Charlton kneeled, he won't play. Greg Hardy would have if he were still around.

Your argument does not make sense to me. There are more people who have raped women than who have protested. I am not talking about Kaepernick. I am talking about Jerry Jones saying he will bench players who don't stand.
More rapists than protesters? In the world or in the NFL? If you mean the NFL... wow. Please show me the proof there are more rapists on these teams than kneelers. Because I've seen a LOT of guys kneeling.

Mr. Jones is an employer. A condition of employment with the Dallas Cowboys (America's Team) is you stand and honor the flag.

If they don't like it, go work someplace else. Just like the rest of us. Players have the right to free speech; he has he right to hire and fire his employees. The world keeps spinning.
Except the players right to free speech is being infringed in my opinion. They should not get consequences for speaking their mind. Jerry Jones and Donald Trump are free to speak their mind, but they should not threaten.

The fact that Jones is OK with people like Hardy on his team, but not someone who protests is disgusting.

No one likes the Cowboys anyway.
What constitutes a violation of Free Speech is not up to "opinion."

This is what is troubling about the Left; they just believe whatever their media gods say. No idea what Free Speech protections really mean.

Uhhhh what? What does that have to do with the conversation. His comments were an exaggeration.

By avoiding the core point of the message and arguing hard on one thing, you show that you concede the point of the debate to him.

You assume that the left believes whatever the media says, when the right binges on Fox, Trump's twitter, and facebook trolls.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

Seems like a no-brainer to me. While the law is not directly in violation, the principle of it is.

Sorry- I thought his whole post was farcical.

I already said I wasn't sure I completely agreed on Pence's motives, but I did agree he didn't need to waste taxpayer dollars flying around on AF2 for no good reason. I was done.

So your point was about the Second Amendment (a subject I am well-versed on, by the way)? Yes, I missed that. Since you didn't mention it in your prior post.

I strongly support the Second Amendment, as well as the First. I would urge you to research the First Amendment. To throw the term around loosely actually undermines it's true intent and significance.

Sorry, I meant the first amendment. (And better guns rules isn't even against the point of the second amendment) I have researched the first amendment, and I am willing to hear your response as to why we should ban people who peacefully and harmlessly protest from playing in the NFL.

The only organization that can't punish someone for exercising that amendment is the government. It doesn't give you immunity from consequences from the private sector. We pulled a kids scholarship for a Twitter post. Did we infringe on his 1st amendment rights?

Seems like a no-brainer to me. While the law is not directly in violation, the principle of it is.

Did Congress pass a law I missed in regard to NFL players?

I make this post with conceding any points of debate or positions held within prior posts.
You are missing the point again... can you tell me the point of the second amendment? The morals that the founding fathers were trying to promote?
They were promoting freedom from tyranny by government with both the first and second amendment.

Nobody likes the Cowboys. The most valuable sports franchise on Earth.

The only organization that can't punish someone for exercising that amendment is the government. It doesn't give you immunity from consequences from the private sector. We pulled a kids scholarship for a Twitter post. Did we infringe on his 1st amendment rights?
There is a difference between hate speech and protesting. I have no problems with people in disagreement removing their support. I have a problem with threats.

this is an educated guess but i would think that the black homicide numbers would be much different minus one place - chicago.
That is probably right, but it kind of proves the rights point. Chicago has the strictest gun laws in America.
LOL, not by a longshot. Just another talking point regurgitated constantly by conservatives and those pushing the black on black narrative.

Maybe when handguns were outlawed and conceal carry was almost impossible to get, but that was years ago and both bans were overturned by the courts...the supreme court and the 7th circuit.
