Well yeah HD users only care about HD.

just like GD users only care about GD.

and sim league users only care about sim league.
Yep, that's my point.

You think "OMG!!!! Please talk to me!!!! Tell me what's going on!!!!"

I imagine the GD only and SLB only think the same thing. If Site Staff felt the need to babysit everyone, whisper sweet nothings into their collective ears, a couple of times a week, they'd never have enough time to actually do anything but that.

Dear google: please show me a bball simulation app I can download.

Has Zags ever had a conversation with someone under the age of, say 25?
I'm 23, and I am a developer. I am telling you that APP can mean many things aka: WEB APPLICATION (Like WIS is now). and a NATIVE APPLICATION that you must download and install on your respective device.
Yes. And which is more marketable to your demographic?

native > web

I have developed Web Applications and native applications for Windows and iOS. I am telling you right now that having one web application for ALL users is cheaper and easier to maintain.

I disagree big time. because you are creating more steps for users
1. Search Google
2. Find that a WIS application is available only through native app
3. Search iStore
4. Download and Install

Compared to Web App
1. Search Google
2. Find WIS Web Application. Enjoy :)

Most people looking for games don't search Google and then look for the app, they just search the app store for games and scroll through them until they find what they want.

Hey Nate. I play this simulation bball game and it's pretty fun, hard but fun. You'd enjoy it. Come join my conference.

Oh yeah? Cool. I want a new game to play. What's the app called?

So if you were conversing with someone you couldn't just answer "Hoops Dynasty on WhatifSports. I don't think it has an app"?

Or would Nate go "WTF? I can't find anything without the app name!!!"?

It's a point about marketing. Product accessibility.

I was just making fun because the way you put your point out there is pretty silly.

Been a software developer now almost 30+ years.

WIS is a niche product aimed likely at the fantasy football/stat geek crowd (into statistics/managing teams) as opposed to say someone who plays Madden or action based sports sims. The former group is likely a web-based product while the latter usually has to be an app since graphics via the cloud just isn't going to work well. Having an app to run on PC/mobile platforms require different technologies and usually is hard to maintain/test and costly (which is why you pay to get Madden but once you've bought it you not out of money otherwise).

Seble likely pitched an idea to the upper management at SportsHub on the potential to tap into WIS to get some more exposure for their existing products and possibly vice versa where there existing customer base might be attracted to WIS. Seble probably has to recruit/hire/train a complete new development/support/web/IT staff over the last few months and once those teams have been assembled, will hold endless meetings contemplating which products to develop and how they can leverage off other SportsHub existing processes/products to help speed things up.

I wouldn't expect anything to be announced until sometime next quarter.

yeah because whatifsports.com is so difficult to enter. You guys have an odd fascination towards native apps. Browser based web applications are just as popular.

+1

WIS should hire buddhagamer to head their PR department. We are agitated customers that tend to forget about reality.
