#10:
Pete Maravich...
- St Peter in Bible, and Peter The Hermit in the Middle Ages who pushed for the First Crusade.
- Horse #3 at the tracks... "Pete" Rose was at the tracks and loved the horses, and got his record breaking hit 4,192 vs Eric "Show", with "show" being the term for finishing #3 in horse racing (win-place-show). Also, Maravich finished #3 in the NBA Horse competition in 1978.
- low country is of course LSU then New Orleans, below sea level and site of Maravich's many heroics.
Not the true answer.
1 and 3 fit for sure.
For the tracks, cool story with Pete Rose, but what in the world does that have to do with Pete Maravich haha? ;) So that doesn't get ya anything.
The third place finish in an NBA HORSE game is an amazing connection haha, one that I never would have made. If that is true you get Street Cred. However the info I have says he got second, which eliminates the connection to #3.

Hmm... ok...
Pete Rose and Pete Maravich... same first name, and same haircut, doppelganger territory... that's the only connection i can think of, but it's in line with the Stan Van Gundy vs Ron Jeremy connection...
Pretty creative and hopefully worthy of Street Cred? And c'mon that Eric Show connection was pretty sweet, no?
Haha love the effort!
The Stan Van/ Ron Jeremy clue specifically said doppelganger though. This one has no mention of that.
It is very creative and the Eric Show connection is pretty sweet. No doubt about that.
Holy cow, you're making me work for this...
According to Wikipedia, with the NBA All-Stars H-O-R-S-E competition:
"There were a total of 32 players and the finals had a match up of Pete Maravich verse Paul Westphal. Maravich was injured and replaced by Rick Barry, who lost to Westphal."
So, Westphal finished 1st, Barry in 2nd, and Maravich 3rd.
