Yep, on the verge, your bs 6 hour recruiting cycle leaves no time for late recruiting so I'm fed up and will not renew with my money unless things change. I know I am not the only one
I'll throw this guy a bone. RS2 generally sucks very hard.

I'm not sure what the fix is, but I hope spoon can take comfort in knowing RS2 is equally tough on everyone who's trying to recruit the salvage-yard scrap recruits at the end.
The fix is to understand how it’s set up, and adjust your gameplay, if desired. There is no fix that WIS is going to make that is going to make a guy happy who wants less risk and more reward for his program and strategy.

That’s not to say RS2 couldn’t be improved - I think it would benefit from more top 300 guys preferring to sign late, and starting the signing cycle for late signees 2 cycles later, so they have the last 8 cycles to sign, instead of the last 10. But that doesn’t really touch this gripe at all. If anything, it makes the scramble at the end a little more high-stakes. But it would give coaches changing jobs more time to unlock actions on their top priorities, and ease the unforeseen EE pain a little.

He's not talking about taking over a new team. He had all of RS1 to unlock actions.

The single most important recruiting issue to repair immediately is the inability to see more than 10 teams on the considering list. It is affecting actual recruiting strategy and game play. Makes budget management and prospect prioritizing difficult and unfair, particularly in RS2. I love the game and the new recruiting system, but this flaw is becoming a deal breaker for me.

I agree, a little less passionately. Either insert a slider so we can see all, or obscure all, so we only see numbers of D1, D2, offers, etc but no teams. I’d prefer the latter, actually.

You mean like how the champions page hasn't been updated in 10 seasons??
12/29/2017 3:21 PM
okay, okay, whining on deaf ears, but what about recruiting actually ending at 2 am and not 11 pm? Who knew except a few beta testers here, and why not then leave actions unlocked at 11 pm for us crap coaches that can't recruit and need a bone at the very end?
12/29/2017 10:19 PM
Well technically it does end at 2AM since you can put in actions on the 11PM cycle.

I coached HS Football for a long time. We had one lunatic head coach who made the kid with the jail ankle bracelet get off the bus first and walk around with it so as to scare this team of rich white kids we were playing.
I remember one Junior High Game that I played in we arrived at the field of our opponent and went out to warm up before the game. Five of the players for the opponent were near their fifty talking to a Coach with helmets off. They all had crude beards growing. I think they were trying to do the same type of thing.

I agree with this as well. It gives some teams an advantage, like U Conn has an advantage over Arizona. There should not be any features of the game which give an advantage because of the school name.

I agree this should be fixed, but do people have specific examples of recruits where this has actually caused a problem? To me it seems like a mild theoretical inconvenience that's been blown out of proportion on the forums.

Surely you don't need an example to KNOW it happens.

Spoon : you. can't quit because your nickname reminds me of a great Soundgarden song and with Cornell's death being sad, I need this to remind me how great he was as a musician.

I've intentionally hid off the list and then did a HV love bomb to sign a player. I knew it was giving me an advantage but I still think it's dumb.

Where it can backfire is if your Team C(A prestige). Team A starts at very high, but maybe only has a B prestige. Team B(A prestige) comes in midway through, see's the B prestige team on him, where as if you were on that player from the get go, maybe Team B wouldn't have taken that plunge seeing there was an A and B prestige team battling for him. That's one reason I try to avoid this strategy. Sometimes teams will shy away from a recruit if there are at least 2 teams on him at very high.

However, it might work better if you're a lower prestige team and can't beat him out AP for AP.
