Boris. I'm no financial guru. Never made much money in all my life. Never prioritized it as much as most. Also never bounced a check, never took a dollar of gov't aid, (did get a few weeks unemployment ins. once), no food stamps, etc. Not a penny from govmint! Paid all my taxes (not a lot!) due, served others when I could, paid my fines for transgressions (fair OR not), been ripped off of money a few times totalling a few thousand bucks.......... typical I'd guess, no big deal. I've NEVER understood how deficit funding (with govmint finance) is supposed to work. I experienced the trickle down Repug. economic theory put into practice before (Reagan)........... I saw FIRST-Hand that it does NOT work. I don't believe in hand outs......... to anybody! I do believe in a hand UP! Teach someone to fish is a good analogy as long as the govmint hasn't destroyed all the fisheries!!
IF I made a chair for a person who had lost their furniture in a fire or flood or something I'd ALSO explain to them HOW I made it, with the hopes that that person would make some more chairs for himself! But there is a place for govmint and regulations......... and that is to insure a level playing field and give the middle class a chance against the richest of our society......... who basically own and run 95% of ALL business and commerce in this Country.
Find me a Mom and Pop CD store somewhere............. they couldn't compete with the mass (chain) merchants who would enter a little community, offer big discounted merchandise for a period of time (until driving the competition out) and then (when ma and pas are gone) jacking the prices up higher than the Ma and Pa store was before the "chain" came in. It's ruined small towns all over this Country. As has the media. But it ain't by political bias.......... it's by broadcasting constant garbage and telling us it's quality entertainment. Hogshit! 99% of what they feed is is deadly......... destroys the mind!
