It's a running argument benis and I have. We know it affects REB but I was doing a little test that bunched up benis' panties.

But, back on topic, I assume there are plus/minus to IQ in all sets. This is an opportunity to learn something from those who know, obviously not benis, that is being squandered. I'm certain that the only plus/minus of IQ applies to more than one defensive set.

What decreases your chances of winning a single game more?

1. Your only true PG giving up a couple made FGs
2. Your only true PG fouling out in 8 minutes

I would say #2 hurts your chances more.

Having a low IQ means the player is more likely to get scored on and this applies to all of the defenses. However in press, a player will foul A LOT. Much more than the other defenses.

Net- giving up some made FGs hurts you obviously. But having a guy foul out in single digit minutes played could be devastating. If you don't have depth or good Stamina you are F'd in the A.

They are in the order of difficulty. Ascending easiest to hardest.

Here's an example

This dude averaged 3.9 fouls per game as a freshman. I don't remember the exact number but he had several games where he fouled out in around 10 mpg. A few around 8-9 minutes.

it can really mess things up for you if that happens. Oh and it ****** you off.

Oh and its harder to meet promises when your guy can't stay on the court.

IQ affects all the sets. In press, low IQ increases fouls. In zone, low IQ leads to opponents making more shots. In man, I suspect it’s a combination, and the fact that an opponent who is paying attention can pick on a low IQ defender directly. These are all scenarios that make it more difficult to win than it is when your players all have good IQ.

Its easier to isolate the effects of poor IQ with press, because fouls are individually assigned. But try running zone with a bunch of low IQ players. It’s hard to do well. They are going to struggle. I imagine it’s the same with man, though I haven’t played man in many seasons, and never above D3.
