It's helpful to Tee Martin to have had the opportunity to be officially interviewed. It becomes a part of his "experience" on paper and in reality it gives him a chance to go through the process, field some questions, etc. Then reflect on it afterwards and use that experience when he gets another opportunity BASED on his (hopefully) continued good performance as a coordinator or Asst. coach. The next time might be a REAL opportunity with a roster that "fits" and he'll be more experienced and May be able to land his dream job........... who knows?
Absolutely
Yeah, this point was made by Bay Area talking heads. I agree mostly, but shouldn't there be an educational arm or a vocational arm in every industry that helps EVERYONE develop interviewing and networking skills. NFL Europe was actually a step in the right direction.
I've almost always been an advocate of government sponsored training (as opposed to monetary handouts or quota hiring restrictions) to get all social and racial groups vocational, interpersonal, and general business training. It's NOT a racial issue, it's a money issue. There are more lazy white trash deadbeats than all of the other races combined (obviously percentages vary), but I would rather see tax dollars go towards an effort to train people HOW to be useful members of society. (Full disclosure, I'm a training manager)
