People are way too afraid to offend others. Cultures are better at different things. Blacks are more athletic by nature. It can argued that slavery is the reason for this. Jews are better with money than almost every other culture. It's a fact. The stereotype is that asians excel in math and science. I think this is true, but most innovation has come from the US, so who knows.

Point is, there is nothing wrong with admitting facts.
Yep

Haha. That's what so funny to me. He says it has been illegal for 50 years, but now he's pushing for more regulation because apparently we still have a problem. I told you, the left needs victims for party sustainability. They don't want policies to work.
I’m not pushing for more regulation. I’m pushing for public policy that addresses the disadvantages that blacks face. Things like better social programs for inner city families, a more progressive tax code, ways other than tax credits to address the cost of child care.

None of this is regulation that makes anything illegal. And it would, in general, benefit all poor people, not just blacks.
That's might point. You're pushing for government to come in and save the day. It doesn't work. You live in the state that gives out the most welfare in the country. The citizens of your state actually voted for higher taxes. Y'all should be #1 in fewest homeless and have the lowest poverty rate, but you're not. That's because your ideas don't work. That's why I say you're short-sighted. You are blind to what actually works and you're too stubborn to realize this.
California is actually not the highest per-capita welfare state. And, as a proxy for welfare, California isn't anywhere near the top of food stamp recipients (Mississippi tops that list). It's also not in the top ten in poverty rates (but Georgia is).

Anyway, the government has a place in general welfare. It has since the start. Arguing that we could be better about addressing poverty is completely reasonable.

It is reasonable to address poverty. It is unreasonable to expect the government to fix it. We need more organizations like Tang's dads.

Also, let's be real. We talk about it like the sky is falling. The poor in America live very comfortable compared to most of the world.

Yep

The “poor” have IPhones and wear Nikes.

I don't necessarily expect the government to fix it. But it's well within its capability to put policies in place that help the problem while not putting policies in place that make the problem worse (states not expanding medicaid, for example).

I like Trump's new proposal that would require community service of Medicaid recipients. Earn what you take.

Cell phones and shoes are relatively inexpensive and necessary to function in American society. Things like real estate (rent), health coverage, and child care are very, very expensive. Don't be dumb (I know that's asking a lot of you).

This proves my point. You have no suggestions that don't require expanding government.

Because poor people tend to have so much free time? Why be punitive?

lol. So even with mountains of evidence proving he's wrong you're going to take him at his word. Brilliant.
Once again, it's irrelevant whether he's right or not. My point has been proven time and again by you, bad luck, and tang. Y'all think minorities aren't smart enough to make it without help from the government. It's shameful.
THAT IS NOT WHAT WE ARE SAYING. We are saying that institutional racism exists and that it is not a level playing field. Minorities CAN succeed, but again, the playing field is not level.
Do you agree with Taint that racism only exists against minorities, or are you smart enough to admit that it can, and does, exist against whites in some circumstances?

He keeps ignoring why minority's "need" to be a proportionate % of Coaches, yet white don't "need" to be a proportionate % of players.

I'd also love to hear what % of a person's make-up needs to be minority to classify him as a minority. Is there some rule somewhere about that too, or is it totally random, based on the situation?
Ofc racism exists against whites. No one is saying that there needs to be equal #s of minority and white coaches.
So, how many minority Coaches does there "need" to be for things to be non-racist?
Why does that standard not apply to white players?
Also, still love to hear what % of lineage qualifies a person as a minority.
That's not the argument I am making.

But then you are saying that white people are better coaches than black people. Smh.
But it is Ok to say that African Americans are better at Hoops? Double standard.
THIS is the point of the entire discussion, as far as I'm concerned. If the rules and requirements exist for any race for any job, then they need to exist for all races for all jobs. If not, it is racism - pretty clearly and simple to understand.

Still no takers on what % of a person's lineage must be a certain minority to qualify them as that minority - wonder why that is.

There were exemptions in there for people who already have jobs.

My point is in places like India the poor literally have nothing. More ad hominems lol. And they are not inexpensive. What is your nationality?

Obama increased the EIC. What is your solution?

I think we should beat poor people with canes. That way they won't want to be poor anymore.

According to Elizabeth Warren, you can identify with whatever race you want if it helps you get a job.
