yeah, but BL says the stats show he wasn't very good. Doesn't matter what people he played with and against thought of him. They don't know anything.
He allowed runs at a league average rate while pitching for dominant teams.

That is great and all, but it shouldn’t be a hall of famer.

I tend to be a stats guy, and I wasn't alive at that time so I vote no HOF

lol. So even with mountains of evidence proving he's wrong you're going to take him at his word. Brilliant.
Once again, it's irrelevant whether he's right or not. My point has been proven time and again by you, bad luck, and tang. Y'all think minorities aren't smart enough to make it without help from the government. It's shameful.
THAT IS NOT WHAT WE ARE SAYING. We are saying that institutional racism exists and that it is not a level playing field. Minorities CAN succeed, but again, the playing field is not level.
Do you agree with Taint that racism only exists against minorities, or are you smart enough to admit that it can, and does, exist against whites in some circumstances?

He keeps ignoring why minority's "need" to be a proportionate % of Coaches, yet white don't "need" to be a proportionate % of players.

I'd also love to hear what % of a person's make-up needs to be minority to classify him as a minority. Is there some rule somewhere about that too, or is it totally random, based on the situation?
Ofc racism exists against whites. No one is saying that there needs to be equal #s of minority and white coaches.
So, how many minority Coaches does there "need" to be for things to be non-racist?
Why does that standard not apply to white players?
Also, still love to hear what % of lineage qualifies a person as a minority.
That's not the argument I am making.

But then you are saying that white people are better coaches than black people. Smh.
But it is Ok to say that African Americans are better at Hoops? Double standard.
THIS is the point of the entire discussion, as far as I'm concerned. If the rules and requirements exist for any race for any job, then they need to exist for all races for all jobs. If not, it is racism - pretty clearly and simple to understand.

Still no takers on what % of a person's lineage must be a certain minority to qualify them as that minority - wonder why that is.
My point is that because hiring for players is open and transparant you can draw your own concluions. It is harder with coaching.

As to your second point, no one is responding because it is a stupid argument that leads no where.
In other words, you have zero idea what qualifies someone as a minority.
With today's society being a jumbled mess, there's really nothing wrong with that, but you can't scream "Minorities deserve this and minorities deserve that.", then not be able to define what makes someone a minority.

EX: One dark-skinned man is almost pure anglo, except for one grandparent, who was half African-American. Another man, with lighter skin, has 3 African-American grandparents with a diverse history before that. Who is the minority? Neither? Both? Why?
The minority in this case is the group that had no coaches for 50 years. Fair?
Yet again refusing to answer a simple question; why? Because you don't know. You don't know, I don't know, most of the World doesn't know, because we don't look at things that way. Some extremists would say that any African-American (or Mexican or whatever) blood at all, qualifies a person as that minority (meaning some of those Coaches would almost certainly have qualified), while others would say that at least 50% of someone's heritage must be part of a certain ilk for them to qualify. Still others will say that it's as simple as skin of a certain shade qualifies them. There just doesn't seem to be anywhere close to a consensus as to what qualifies someone, and your continual avoidance of even trying to rationally answer shows that. Someone else want to share a definition they use, or have heard?

Can we just use common sense?
1/13/2018 11:25 AM
My common sense, your common sense, or somebody else's? They're all different.
Many individuals are minorities according to some people's definition and not to others - don't we need a universal definition so we can make all these claims about racism?
1/13/2018 11:30 AM
I will make it simple for Bad Luck and for Tangplay.

I am happy to help the poor but refuse to do it strictly by race. Who has a better advantage is life the kid of a single mother growing up in Maine who is white or the kid of Ben Carson? Using strictly race is in fact racism. I am sick of it. My people have dealt and continue to deal with racism not only in the US but everywhere in the world. We just suck it up and persevere.

Stats don't always show you what the truth is. I used the NBA example to illustrate that but neither BL nor tang were smart enough to understand it. Just because 75% of the NBA is black and there are zero Jewish players does not make the NBA racist.

If you want to call our country wealthist that is fine. There is wealth privilege but there is NO WHITE PRIVILEGE.

There is certainly no JEW PRIVILEGE and yet my people are some of the most successful not just in the US but also in the world. How do you explain that?

Neither BL nor Tang can or will even try.

Sadly they just cling to their simple racist arguments. I feel sorry for Bad Luck he is obviously psychologically damaged. Tangplay is just ignorant.

I agree, wealthism is a bigger problem. To a lesser extent, I think institutional racism still effects us.

You just ignored everything I wrote. Explain then how the Jews are the most successful people in the US? Oh and in terms of Israel, your boy, BHO funded Iran. As you know Iran is the #1 funding source for Hamas and Hezbollah. The leader of Hezbollah stated that he wants all the Jews to move to Israel so that he can kill them all at once. But yeah, BHO was not an anti semite at all.....

I love how tang refuses to acknowledge the facts I write and only takes 10% of them and concentrates on that. He must have learned from BL.

Where are the stats about Jews? Maybe they have less discrimination?

I assume you want nuclear war then. BHO was not an anti-semite, come on.

Thanks for ignoring. Look up the stats yourself. LOL. They are everywhere. Then explain his funding of Iran the #1 funding source for Hamas and Hezbollah. I already explained that stats don't always tell the story.

So in short, Jews are not more successful. Thanks for sharing.

You are the one who seems worried about saying X% of African-Americans do this or don't get that, so you should be able to tell me how YOU determine if a person is African American, yet you either can't, or won't. If you can't / won't even tell us how YOU determine, then how do you expect society to come to an agreement?
