Did you know that the poorest town in America is a mere 50 miles from New York? According to Census data, Kiryas Joel, the Orange County town that is the home base for the Ultra-Orthodox Satmar Hasidic Jews, has a higher proportion of its population living in poverty than any other city, town or village with 10,000 people in the country. About 70 percent of its 21,000 residents live below federal poverty levels with nearly half of the village's households reporting annual incomes less than $15,000.
Really Jeff? Don't give me zealots who live in tents. Give me normal people. No Penn Dutch, etc. LOL

Nice try though

Since the mass immigration some 100 years ago, Jews have become richest religious group in American society. They make up only 2% of US population, but 25% of 400 wealthiest Americans.

The online Jewish Encyclopedia says some 5.6 million Jews live in the United States (not including half a million Israelis) – about 1.8% of the population. Most of them reside in rich cities: Miami, Los Angeles, Philadelphia and Boston, and mainly New York.

A study of the Pew Forum institute from 2008 found that Jews are the richest religious group in the US: Forty-six of Jews earn more than $100,000 a year, compared to 19% among all Americans. Another Gallup poll conducted this year found that 70% of American Jews enjoy "a high standard of living" compared to 60% of the population and more than any other religious group.

Name one against blacks.
Relining. School Funding.
Name one example that specifically shows school funding is lower for African American people not zip codes but people. I am sure that African American kids living in my neighborhood get equal funding to the white kids.

BTW - my daughter. #1 in her class. Coincidence? Jews are better? Why is it? Please explain, tangy.
https://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2015/09/public-school-funding-and-the-role-of-race/408085/ Per student black and hispanic people recieve less funding. Partially because they live in worse neighborhoods. Redlining strikes again.

To your other idiotic point,
1. You named one person. Think big sample size. I could name Christians who were successful.
2. Your chart showed people by religion, not race. You are an atheist, not a Jew. By race you may be Jewish. But your chart, the only evidence shown rn, was by religion. You went against your own evidence.
Once again, Jewish is not a race. It is a religion and a culture, but it is not a race.
Try searching again, instead of posting opinion.
Never mind, we've been down this road before, and as the self-appointed Semantics Police you will still tell us that your opinion should be taken over that of multiple experts who deal with the subject for a living.

DNA Links Prove Jews Are a 'Race,' Says Genetics Expert

Conjuring fear of Nazism and anti-Semitism, Jews recoil from the thought that Judaism might be a race, but medical geneticist Harry Ostrer insists the 'biological basis of Jewishness' cannot be ignored.

Whatever it is it is but facts are and tangy agreed unless he is back pedaling:
  1. Anti Semitism exists in the US
  2. Jews are the most successful people as measured by wealth and education. So they have overcome the anti semitism it seems. Not just in the US but everywhere.

How is that possible when we have institutional racism in the US? Or is it only racism toward the races that the LEFT finds it convenient to play so that they can garner the votes? Not enough Jews so why care about them?

I am curious. Do tell.

I guess we all agree that Jews aren’t at any disadvantage in the US.

On the other hand, blacks are (even strikeout said so).
1/16/2018 10:05 AM
So:
  1. Do you believe there is not any anti semitism in the US? Please say "Yes" or "No" Could it be that they are but have overcome it?
  2. Why are Jews even more successful than fellow "white" people?
  3. How are African Americans at a disadvantage? Who has more of an advantage my kid or the kid of Collin Powell?

Thank you

The question isn’t whether or not anti-semitism exists, the question is does anti-semitism put Jews at a socioeconomic disadvantage. The answer to that is clearly no, based on the case you’ve made.

On the other hand, racism against blacks has put them at a socioeconomic disadvantage.

I did and they are. I think anyone who argues that is fooling themselves. But they have equal opportunity, if not more opportunity now, so they control their own destiny. More social welfare is the worst thing that could happen.

Name one against blacks.
Relining. School Funding.
School funding is based on county. Has nothing to do with race. GA is a good example. The county that I live in is about 80% white. Poor as dirt, home values suck, and school funding is minimal. Druid Hills is predominantly black. Strong home values, 1500 sf homes are 1/2 million dollars. Schools are funded well. School funding has nothing to do with institutional racism. It has to do wealth of a county. It just so happens that counties that are predominantly black tend to be poorer. I'm not drawing any correlation, just stating a fact.
A lot of school funding is based on attendance, at least it was in California. We got in a lot of trouble our senior year(class of 87) because we did an unofficial senior cut day 87 days from the end of school...just so happened to coincide with the annual attendance audit to determine funding for the next school year.
Yes, I'm sure that's the primary factor for state and federal funding, but race plays no role in this. And then local money comes from property taxes obviously. I am just not buying that blacks and Hispanics get less funding because people are racist. Black communities, for whatever reason, are typically poorer; therefore, homes are typically worth less.

The answer, my friend, is redlining.
Wait, you admit that you didn't know that funding was based on attendance and enrollment and then you still have the nerve to blame redlining?

If they are at a disadvantage, it isn’t an equal opportunity.

What opportunity are they lacking? Are they not allowed to get a HS degree? Are they not allowed to go to college? Do they not get minority scholarships to help fund college? Are they not allowed to work? Name one opportunity that they lack.
1/16/2018 10:48 AM
If there’s a disadvantage, the opportunity isn’t equal. You and I decide to run a race and you have shoes but I don’t, my opportunity to win the race isn’t the same as yours.
1/16/2018 10:57 AM
They both have the same opportunity to obtain those shoes (college). The disadvantage has nothing to do with opportunity. It has to do with culture. Both races can make the choice to be successful.

Now, without giving me some analogy, tell me what opportunity blacks lack.

So angry. Typical Liberal. My rhetoric does not fit your argument so you get angry. Your chart proves that it is done by neighborhood not color. Please show one zip code that states "only people of color may live here". LOL

You still dodge the Jewish question. By culture I am Jewish I just don't believe there is a God. Please name just one mostly Jewish neighborhood that is not a wealthy and strong neighborhood. Just one. All I ask. I am sure you can find one? No?

LOL

No one specifically says this out loud, however that is pretty much how it works.

YOUR CHART SHOWED BY RELIGION. YOU WOULD BE IN THE ATHEIST CATEGORY.

I don't have access to that info...
