It's amazing how different regions value different levels of sports. The North and west love their pro sports. The south and southeast love the college game. I guess it's a product of who's good at what. Our pro teams are less than desirable, but we run the show in college. Cali has some decent college baseball. Fullerton is always really good. I find the college game to be much more pure. I can't watch the NFL anymore. It feels like every game someone is being carted off with a back or neck injury.
I think that the NFL id better than College Football and College Basketball tops the NBA.
I just don't enjoy watching the Shazier incidents and it seems like they are becoming more and more common.
People get injured in college too. Football is violent.
True, but not at the rate of NFL players. I understand that they make the choice to play while fully understanding the risk, I just choose not to watch it on a regular basis. I'll catch a game every now and then.
In my opinion the NFL is just better. The style of play is 100000 times better. College football, 99% of the time, ends with scores like 45-17 or scores like 10-3. NFL games are more fun to watch because of the parity, and every player is one of the greatest in the world. It also helps that I don't really have a good C Football team to watch. Kansas? Nope. I love the Chiefs in the NFL though. It's the opposite in the basketball world. Kansas and Wichita State are really good, and unless the Kansas City Kings get brought back (#BRINGBACKKCK), there is no NBA team to latch on to.
I see your point and I'm not saying that college is better. I'm just saying that I enjoy it more. Part of it is seeing players that I have coached or knew playing on the big stage. I think the other part is that amateur sports in this area as a whole are really good. If I had to watch Kansas or K State play, i'd probably prefer the chiefs as well.
Wichita State is fun to watch, aren't they. They aren't even that talented in my opinion, but they play so friggin hard.
