You're right again on the above about Non for Profits, BUT that designation does allow them to set differing priorities within their Budget and their educational emphasis. So not all not for profits operate the same.

As far as making money goes. It sure seems to me that the State of Arizona sends a LOT of dollars to our colleges IF they're making profit!
Of course it doesn't help much when you pay out 12 million bucks to fire a football coach "without cause" so's you can hire a celebrity black "football mouth" with NO college coaching experience, and then another 6 + million to fire the other universities head football coach "without cause" because he's been "accused" of a sexual indiscretion of some sort or another with some female assistant. Accused mind you! It just so happens that the AD is new and NOT the guy who hired the Coach and the Univ. Pres. is new, too, soo........ Obviously they want their guy in charge and to hell with university dollars...... we can just ask the State for more money!

Sorry for the fiscally conservative rant from this so-called liberal!

Yes they can. For awhile I had the opinion that you used solid logic and rationale to back up your arguments.
Then I noticed that you liked to just argue for argue's sake and SOMETIMES said really dumb ****.

Well, technically it CAN be wrong... you just won't know it. Just because facts aren't presented in the argument doesn't mean they don't exist (is that a triple negative?)

Anyhow, the funny thing is that the shared opinion of Tang is a source of unity for this motley crew.

BUT, one simple question.

All those humans who shared the opinion that the Earth was flat.... remember them?
Later on it was pretty much proved to most of them (all but the lunatics who refuse to acknowledge new factual information) that the Earth was NOT flat... that indeed it was a sphere/globe.

Was their (shared) opinion wrong?
And if not, why not?
Why can a human not cling to an opinion that is flat wrong?

Have you ever studied the history/(creation story) of the LDS faith (Mormons).??
Most Mormons are GOOD people, excellent neighbors quality citizens, etc........ I very much like and respect them for their life practices!!!
BUT, they believe in (HOLD the opinion That) Joseph Smith was some sort of Prophet/Seer chosen by God to found their religion.
They have every right to share that opinion.
Known facts clearly dispute that opinion of Joseph Smith and (in fact) the entire timeline and basic LDS story of Christ's reappearance on earth to the Laamanites(?) (I think it was)
I mean basic geologic global knowledge!!

I don't mean to disparage anyone's belief, BUT to believe in the actual timeline as laid out in the Mormon doctrine is just clearly wrong! (Not necessarily their belief in their God, but their timeline and explanation!) Thus all Mormons either share a wrong opinion OR just choose to kind of ignore that little detail of their religion story.

Perhaps a better example. You can't hold the opinion that Paul Bunyan created the Grand Canyon by dragging his axe (or whatever) and ignore geological fact without (clearly) holding an incorrect opinion. Thus, that opinion (Paul Bunyan did it) is wrong.

Where am I wrong logically?
