I love Towns. He was awesome for me last season, just an offensive beast. But I don't think he's a great fit next to Shaq, no matter which version you're using; You can't hide his 40 defense because Shaq can't move off of center.

That team is going to be an offensive juggernaut with Shaq/Nash/Towns, but it's going to leak points like crazy. Lots of 135-131 games in your future, thomcat.

Nash is basically the perfect guy to pair with Shaq. And of course, the guy I veer away from picking at the last possible second is the very next guy to be drafted. It's the story of my NBA sim life.

Edit: My draft board was Donyell, Nash, Marion, and Deron. And there they all go.
Had Nash #1, but if you took him to pair with DH, which I thought would happen, then Donyell. In any case thought they were the 2 best options to pair with either Shaq or Dwight.
Agreed. I've been wanting to try Deron Williams in this league, but he's not quite the right fit for a paint scoring monster. And there just isn't another Donyell after the second round.
With the 3s, the rebounding and the ability to cover the PF defensively, the Donyells are few and far between.

Agree Tarheel, The one downside to the Shaq- Anthony Towns pairing is that neither Shaq nor Karl can slide down for defensive purposes. Other options for PF or SF solved the D issue but would have left some rebounding and usage needs that would probably not be able to be solved down draft without taking on some more weaknesses.. Now, with Nash, at least my offense is set to go with pretty good rebounding.

(Also, Towns would have been a good fit on my team too, so I'm partially just jealous)

So I was really hoping Rondo would fall to me. It would have made making my team a lot easier. But alas there are still a lot of good players left! So we shall see but I predict no repeat championship for me

mikee's got a nice defensive squad around Wilt so far. I always wish Payton were a little more efficient. How much I like this quartet depends on the position Davis plays and which season is used.

gerry's trio is looking a bit lopsided. A good paint scorer will be there in later rounds, but he won't be both a good rebounder and a good defender.

I assume tar's now drafted his front line, with Lucas at center. I'd rather see Giannis at SG, since to my mind that's the difference between a rebounding advantage and disadvantage with this bunch.

Nice trio of sim studs for jcred. The last three rounds will tell the tale, but that's a lovely start.

I'm not keen on the pairing of Mourning and Stoudemire. Efficient scoring, yes, but that's a lot of usage up front and lousy rebounding.

Barkley and Billups are like peas and carrots.

Yeah, the plan is still Giannis at SF, but I hear you on rebounding. Like I said, at the very least Brand will be playing 1000 minutes at SF backing up Giannis.

Smart move at least getting Brand some decent time at SF^.

ysw's team is another that needs to unearth a paint scorer in later rounds, which means he'll have some warts.

I like vancem's trio. All it needs are the kinds of role players usually available late in the draft.

Ray Allen was a great add to Stockton and Hakeem.

Since someone brought up the usage chart in the other forum, is figure I'd carry it out here... So... we know that the chart cannot possibly be correct as it is, right? It has 27.2 listed as 4 points AND 6 points- and the same thing for every other transition... I' just wondering if they has ever been any clarification on that... I ask Ashmael, who posted the chart, over a year ago for clarification and didn' get an answer.... It would be helpful to know the answer- especially for the 1-2 point transition and the 2-4 point transition. It would be nice to know if 17.5 is 1 or 2 points... it would be nice to know if 22.1 is 2 or 4 points.... But no one 'really' knows....

Btw, I will be using 1 of the top 2 salaried Dr Js at SG... Him at 2, and Rodman at 3 will crush the offensive glass. Good luck.. not really

Some one asked this same question on Ash's forum a while back and this what he said:

"The chart came straight from WiS itself. Nobody ever accused them of being very good at anything lol. You should have seen how messed up the first chart was they showed us (tier 4 was 17.5 to 27.2 & tier 3 was 20.5 to 27.2... like... huh?!)

anyway, it's pretty easy to tell: do a search for the player in question and place 22.1 as the maximum for usage. If he doesn't appear, then he's tier 3, not tier 4. If he appears, he's tier 4. Same principle works at every breakpoint.

For example, to figure out if 14-15 Joakim Noah (13.7% usg) is tier 5 or tier 6, I placed 13.7 usage as the maximum. I got zero search results. I then put it as minimum & he popped up. Thus, 14-15 Joakim Noah (13.7% usg) is tier 5 & worth 1 point against the team possession penalty."

Thanks Sam. That's good information.. I've read through Ash's forum and I'm surprised I missed it. Thanks
