I did. Where did I say it was over 5 seasons?
Looks that way based upon your history.

You lost your PG after seasons 96 meaning you should have started to recruit a replacement season 95.

Miss on 95 and 96 and 97. 3 seasons.

Then you finish with 91 RPI but manage to sneak into tourney during season 98. Unknown here if you did or didn't have a PG. But I guess not so that's another season.

Then season 99 you're back in the toilet with 10 wins. Assuming you still don't have a PG? so that's another recruiting miss.

So yeah, 5 seasons of missing on a PG if that's what you're saying was the cause of your fall from grace during the magical season of Smith 96.

So you're saying you went 5 straight seasons of being unable to recruit a player who could be a serviceable PG. At D3.
"unable" ? More like he doesnt see the need for a good PG. He was trying to tell me that D2 Lander shouldnt even have a PG. Literally Every squad Mike has is filled with low BH/P guards. Goes crazy when they dole out a 1-2 assists in a game
Sez the guy who played an unathletic PF at PG in M2M then wondered why he couldn't win games. Your HD knowledge can be written on a postage stamp in bold print.
PF with BH/P of 75-50. Best ballhandler on the team HANDS DOWN.
You do realize in M2M that he had to cover the opposing PG, right? A much more athletic and faster player, right?
Seriously, turning a FF team into a 9 win team after losing just 3 players is gross incompetence. I'll own it. However, what you did at Lander is almost as bad. Not playing the best defender because "I didn't realize he was on the team" then using a PF at PG was terrible. HD teams have 12 players. How on earth can you "miss" one?

Where did I say that?

Hudnall/Grindstaff graduated in 96. **** the bed in 97 after failing to get a PG in 95-96. Missed again in 97, signed Stevens in 98(made the tourney). No idea what happened in 99 other than I gave up about halfway thru and played underclassmen. 16-5 in 100.

Are you so desperate to argue that you're making up what I said?

You need to balance classes. At press, that I don't play in D1 except on my rebuild to speed it up, I get 5 forwards that can rebound and 7 guards, sf. At man to man, I get 4 forwards or 5, and 7 or 8 guards, sf.

But I always check who is leaving, and I recruit accordingly. So my classes are always balanced. I do not really care about how many sr, jr, so or fr, I know some do at D2... They go for JUCOS to get more jr. or so... Not me. I feel some JUCOS are perfect fit when they know my def and off, but some don't know both and won't develop fast enough.

Then you won't have to make up things.

Actually, I signed Stevens in 97 for the 98 season. I only missed in 95-96.

I signed Kilroy as a last minute desperation plan for PG in 96. He wasn't/isn't a good distributor but is a great D3 SG.

During the 98 season Stevens BH grew from 62 to 63 and his Pass grew from 40 to 52.

So you started a PG with 62 BH and 45ish pass to go along his C IQ.

Yeah I wonder why you only won 10 games that season. No clue at all.

Read my posts, benis. You're coming off as really stupid. I'm telling you what happened, you're making up your own story 2-3 posts later. Help me help you.

I made the tourney in 98. I don't know what happened in 99. Stevens is my PG now and I'm 16-5 in 100.

Oh you're right. You only won 10 games in season 99.

When you had a Sophomore starting PG with a BH of 63 and 55ish Pass with a Bish IQ.

Again. I wonder what happened.

Eh I would have played Sargent at the 2 and Wise at the 1, but they are pretty interchangeable. The main problem was the total lack of talent and speed on Lander. Probably should have been a PI team.

Wanna guess who started at PG in 98? You know, when I made the NT? I'll give you a hint. He's starting with 66/66 BH/P this season.
GP GS MIN FG% FG3% FT% OREB REB AST TO STL BLK PF PTS
21 20 24.5 .458 .438 .766 0.9 2.0 3.5 1.6 1.1 0.0 1.6 6.3
28 27 25.0 .432 .348 .714 0.7 2.2 3.4 2.1 1.1 0.0 2.1 8.3
30 30 25.1 .397 .359 .652 0.5 1.6 2.8 2.1 0.8 0.0 2.4 5.4

Looks like he played better in 99 than 98 too. He'll be starting next season as well.

Let's not pretend like that team with the 91 RPI and 84 SOS was any good...
