You're not paying attention. I did get to VH and knock him to moderate. When the player didn't sign, I'd shown my hand. The ONLY chance I had at that point was to spend the amount of resources I felt comfortable with while maintaining other options. Aim high but don't get caught with your unit in your hand if you miss.

Anyway, I felt I played it the best way possible in order to avoid a ruined class over one contested player. If I'd lost on Jones, I'd still have made my team significantly better. If I'd lost on Jones, Smith and Slater, I'd be set back another year.

Eh I would have played Sargent at the 2 and Wise at the 1, but they are pretty interchangeable. The main problem was the total lack of talent and speed on Lander. Probably should have been a PI team.

Yeah that team was in rough shape WAY before Zags took over. Very little talent returning and poorly constructed roster.

Adding these lessons learned to my postage stamp. Let me know if you’d like a postage stamp or two Mike, a total rewrite of everything you assume to be true about HD seems to be necessary. I suggest you start now before I rebuild lander and join DI Rupp.

1-5, I beat you last season. Also I have yet to miss out on post season play, I am holding my own in the best conference in Smith. I bring consistency to all my squads. Which is something you need a few lessons on.

Might as well post my track record for my CSU squad as well. Rebuilt in one season, unfortunately since Lander has only 1 graduating senior I wont be able to accomplish rebuilding as fast..

True, but cutting a ton of players during RS2 will either result in signing below average talent OR a ton of walkons. I would like to avoid both of those situations. Now that I think about it...cutting a young useless player like Perry and taking an equally useless walkon would result in additional resources for next season recruiting though.

Yep. I'm going to cut 2 at UNC-A. They're turds and, if I can't replace them, I'll just have a couple of walk-ons and more resources next season.
