Cosby spoke of it in his Pound Cake speech to the NAACP. They need to be raised the right way, and need opportunity. You are seeing the beginning of their situation change. The black unemployment rate is down. It is not going to happen quickly, but there is progress. Will be interesting to see the black vote in the midterms, and again in 2020 if Trump seeks a 2nd term.

ICYMI, the Trump tax plan approval rate just moved north of 50% in this week's NYT survey. That's up more than 20 points from December.

DII baseball is good. I was an assistant at mid-major DI program for a few years. The teams in our conference can most certainly play with those guys. We have 2 mid-90's arms that will both be drafted this year and a catcher that will be taken. A team in our conference had 6 players drafted last year. It's really good baseball.

Nah, I'm not homophobic. I love everyone, might not like everybody, but I love everyone. At the same time, following my religion is more important to me than conforming to society. In Judeo-Christian beliefs, homosexuality. That doesn't mean that I don't deeply care for these people, but I'm not going to live in denial either. Here's the thing, if I'm awake, I have a dip in my mouth. That's a sin. I understand that. I need to quit. It is just as much of a sin in the Christian religion as homosexuality. I am not going to judge others because I'm not perfect, but I'm also not going to pretend like homosexuality is okay if you're a Christian.

We don't have any assault rifles. I've already said that I am okay with an assault rifle ban. She has a shotgun and a handgun. I was speaking about guns in general. 15 of 71 (extracting domestic violence) mass shootings since 2009 happened in "gun free" zones. I live in an area where guns are very prevalent. You don't hear about much gun violence in rural GA.

Culturally they will move away from crime. Incarceration rates will drop, especially if Sessions oversees an overhaul of our criminal justice policies.

Less desperate people to commit desperate crimes. I hope.

Yeah, I'm sure it would have a subtle positive impact, but I'm not convinced that funding is a major issue. I worked in an inner city school for 3 years. All of what you said those kids lacked, they received: textbooks, healthy meals. Normal size classes.

i thought it would help the republicans.....in that i strongly believe it will lead to a meltdown and that republicans pols fear it too.....it was like giving drugs to children.
the dems need to bring up the issue of a bush like meltdown down the road.

I had an 8th grader tell me once all about the benefits of joining a gang. It is very alluring to these kids. We had gang members out recruiting 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders on school grounds. The problem is, I would wager that most of our policy makers haven't spent 5 minutes in a black community including most of the black politicians. I'm going to guess that Tang hasn't spent much time in black communities. Its really hard to understand the true nature of problems if you have never spent much time with them.

You cannot have a scenario where only working people benefit from the economy. That is Bernie logic. The rich will make money here, or they will take it back overseas and invest it there. Pick one.

If, yes if the economy does well, tax revenue will increase enormously with more than 3% growth. It will fund Trump's tax plan.

Higher tax rates do not automatically produce higher tax revenue. Millions of additional workers paying taxes, and business expansion will.

We had old textbooks that were outdated, written into, and had pages missing.
