Hoops Dynasty – College Basketball Sim Games - Team Profile

My Wooden Colorado team is very interesting. We get 62% of our points from two players, and they are doing it while being incredibly efficient. Young has 34% of our offense and is still shooting at 56%. Reardon is shooting 52% from the field and 47% from 3 at 24% of the offense. I have been going slowdown to keep them on the floor as much as possible, it's been working for us so far and I haven't brought myself to changing it.

Anyway, my question is, since my second leading scorer is my PG, would it be better to move him to SG? I think that he is definitely the better PG between him and Miller, but the only real difference in PG skills is the P (which is 15 in Reardon's favor) and the BH (which is 13 in MIller's favor). Normally those two ratings being different scream Reardon at PG and Miller at SG, but I can't help but wonder how much more productive Reardon would be when he is not bringing the ball up the court, and if the offense would be any better if the PG wasn't hogging all of the shots.

Thoughts? about this, and also any thoughts on the team in general, because I have not tried going slowdown against inferior teams before.

Just noticed that Miller is already getting 4.5 Assists per game to Reardon's 3

Also, can't help but wonder how many school records my guys would be breaking if I wasn't holding them back by playing slowdown.

Switch them sround depending on matchup. You got depth at PG, you could even go small sometimes.

The goal should be doing what puts you in the best position to win each individual game, not to maximize individual accomplishments or set school records.

I have no problem with swapping my PG and SG, depending upon matchups, but with the team goal in mind.

I wouldn't change a thing, you have a very efficient offense and you literally can't do much better. Any change you make has a better chance of backfiring.

I am with TJ. I find when I meddle with a good thing especially vs better opponents it tends to backfire. You arent going to get much more efficiency than you are already getting.

My goal is always to win, I just find a lot of enjoyment in seeing my guys get records and awards, which by running slowdown I don’t get.

I’ve been wondering what I should do at SF now that I don’t have to play Munson. I could go with Nicholas, who is just a slightly better version of Munson, or I could go with one of the guards. If I hadn’t decided to redshirt Felice, he could have been a good option.

That’s what I am erring on the side of, I might switch it up in the NT for a better matchup.

How much better is Reardon at PG compared to Miller? 15 P is sizable, but so is 13 BH.

Really depends on how you use them, IMO. I don’t think there’s an objective answer to this question. Given the way you’re using them, Miller is going to get more assists, and Reardon is going to score more (and turn it over more). Switching positions on its own would have a negligible effect on any of those outcomes. As others have noted, it may make sense to do that based on defensive matchups, but you’re not going to increase your teams efficiency with a long term change, there’s likely nowhere to go but down.
