Selling aaa players Topic

Tell me I'm wrong. In open leagues at 80 million when certain people "sell" their aaa for small amounts of cash or bad 200 to 500k players they are scamming the intention of the game. They are randomly giving some teams decent aaa for almost nothing. The trades are miles from fair. I saw a $2 million dollar aaa guy for a $277K player. My main point is, everyone is not a cheater. But if someone was trying to stack someone else's team, or his team under a different user name this is exactly how you'd do it. So like I've always seen and felt, just veto it. The problem is a lot of people don't care and say it's not their business. I say the veto process is exactly to make sure the trade is reasonably equal. It's to assure a fair league. It's to assure a balance in talent.

I've only seen a veto a few times over the years.
Any one else see vetos used often?
Veto to guarantee fairness or who cares?

The only real solution is to play in themes that don't allow trades.
Trades sometimes get vetoed at the start of the season but rarely later because most people aren't paying attention or don't want to bother with evaluating trades. You could try campaigning against bad trade in the league forum but a good fight makes the league less enjoyable.

Yes, any time I debate it with the offender it gets ugly. It is not worth it as open league guys don't seem to care. Thanks for the input. I rarely play open leagues but thought I'd play 1 or 2 for a change. Same game in both of them by the same couple people. Oh well, you are right...limited options.

Ii seems if WIS would make it so you could release your AAA player for 200k cash. It would eliminate the need for these trades.

In general, I've learned that (depending on your own priorities) for enjoyment here on WIS baseball a user has to be very very careful about what league to join.
After spending multiple seasons in a Progressive, investing time and energy building a team, it makes for a very bitter experience when some "event" occurs that renders the league unfit for your own participation. I've felt the need to abandon two differing Progressive leagues after multiple seasons of investment into a team that I had built. Mistakes can happen, and sometimes (usually) the other players in the league just don't care enough to properly fix things.

When it isn't YOUR own mistake, and YOU don't like (or can't accept) the damage done to the integrity of the results. Well, you don't have any good options.
For me, now, it is highly doubtful that I will EVER join another Progressive league. I've also eliminated almost all Theme leagues (depending entirely on rules and the commissioner) and I don't play in Open leagues. looks like my days left here on site are very limited.
omg this again... $1million ain’t ****. And your team was in first place all year anyways. But you gave it away cuz you wanna whine

You're not even close. A completely unwarranted attack on somebody you don't know and over something you don't even know about.
The team I gave away to Seble (and it was for OVER 1 MIL variance above the Cap) is NOT at all what is being referred to in my post.
IF you could read, you'd note that I'm talking about a Progressive League......... the attack on me you are making was about a capped THEME league.

You're a swell guy to just lurk around and attack people stupidly!
