Zorzii needs an easier game, devs! What the hell is the hold up on this?
Good, exactly my point. Some have it easy, others don't, some are in a competitive environment like my UMass team. And it's because of location.

In 2.0 prestige mattered a lot more, base prestige, conf money, leftover money from previous recruiting session too. They even put penalties for ees and caps on efforts to bring the competition back in D1.

Why is location not adressed since it's the last way to game the game?

I’m 1-12 battling D1 schools for recruits in Oregon, starting with a C prestige 6 seasons ago. I punch up. A lot. I also expect to lose quite a bit, and plan accordingly.

People seem to want recruiting to be an effort based resource game, so location is going to be an issue. I wanted a game with no cash and static AP in beta. I pushed as hard as I could for it. I don’t remember anyone else getting on board at the time. This is the game we have, you can compete from anywhwere, but obviously some locations are easier than others. As in real life. As in the previous version.

Shoe : Not really my point.

1) Make ees a bit less penalizing.
2) There is a location problem that helps gaming the game. Look into it.

1) No
2) Right, and I was talking about it in beta. Why didn’t you care more then?

Okay so this just so happens to be an instance where that strategy worked out. I personally wish I would have been more conservative this past season and shot for higher potential players in the 550s range instead of losing upper tier recruits to schools like Duke and Auburn.
Agree with this 100%. When the aggressive strategy works, awesome. But when it doesn’t you can get completely shut out. You have to have those lower tier guys with potential on your radar too. The best player on my MSM team is the perfect example. 537 overall, #92 rated SF in his class.....he’s currently #35 on the big board.

Not saying the Northeast isn’t a competitive environment, but it definitely helps that some of the teams that should be your biggest competitors aren’t very good. Boston College is a C & Providence is a D+.

I for one feel that the advantage for local recruits wanting close to home is not strong enough, and the disadvantage of local recruits having a far away preference is too small. A update needs to address both of these weaknesses.

Distance preference is important both ways. The problem is that not many teams feel like they can adequately prioritize a “far from home” recruit, because they are far more expensive. Going all in on a distance recruit means you have to abdicate just about every high level local.

Yep. And it's the location problem. So far in D1, LA won 19 times out of 133... Which is 14 % almost all on Stanford and UCLA. I could check out Texas, Colorado and these teams and we would see that most teams that are East don't have the same chances. There must be a way to solve this by doing something about location. I am not saying the coaches winning aren't good. I am just saying some will never win where they are because surrounded areas make it impossible.

And you are right about my UMass team. I try to beat Dan to a higher prestige so I can compete against him and others like Syracuse.

Agreed. I would go wants to play far from home but I know It will cost me twice as much...

What’s the deal with Colorado? I always read that it’s hotbed of talent and the D3 Colorado team always seems to be good. Am I missing something about when the state Colorado became great at basketball?? lol
