When setting study hall minutes for jucos, how do they need to be handled? Like a freshman? Like a junior? Somewhere in between? A lot more minutes due to low GPA?

I've never recruited them in the past. And now i have one on 2 of my teams that have recently started new seasons

Put ALL your minutes into SH. It is the only thing effected.
huh? not talking about nonqualifiers if I read the OP correctly

I dont think juco's tend to need tons of study hall - if you start with 8 or 10 mins and watch it you shuold be fine

I truly recruit jucos when I need to balance a class only. But I have a arch-rivals going jucos all the time. I think he gets overall better results than me. But I like developing players and have a flaw when It comes to JUCOS. Some are truly amazing, and some already know your def and off sets.

Treat them like any other player at that GPA and class.

Ok thanks. And to mully.... 60 of those seasons were back in like 2010 when i didn't really take this game serious at all. I've only completed about 10 seasons of 3.0. Maybe not even 10. Now I'm actually competitive.

But even now, i just prefer 4 year players. I only got the jucos now because i lost a couple battles on separate teams.

My resume says 70 seasons. I actually should've just started a new profile when i returned. But oh well

I rarely get JUCOs also because people tend to overpay for them. But once in a while you can find a fit at a reasonable price.

Recruiting D2 JUCO’s has become one of my favorite tactics as of late. You can find some crazy steals there.

I recruit JUCOs regularly with some teams. Works great when trying to round out a roster for a run. Give me a few stars returning and I will replace the EEs and seniors with a few powerhouse JUCOs for another shot.

I generally give JUCO Jr.s 0 minutes. Sophomores get zero a lot of the time as well.

Thank you. 0 can get it done tho?! His GPA is 2.0 and i gave him 4 to start the season (same as i do for juniors normally)

I recruit JUCO JR's fairly regularly and always start with 0 study hall. Maybe I'm just getting lucky, but I've never had to add minutes yet and none have ever flunked out.

If you give all jrs 4 you are wasting practice minutes.

since he has a 2.0 maybe I would give him 2 but I would probably risk it and go zero and adjust if I had to

I may be wasting a few minutes at times. But i drop to 2 at first midterm. I just always play it cautious with eligibility. All my guys are usually above 3.0 at all times. I'm ok with wasting a minute or two.

I usually do like 10-7-4-0 to start each season. I've never had a junior that i couldn't lower at midterm. But i have had some fresh and soph that i had to keep at 10/7 or even increase by 1.

But along with that, I've never really ran into the issue of not maxing my players. So if anything my "wasted" SH minutes have just slightly slowed a maxing some categories i would guess
