Per your link, some of the kids have phone numbers written on their chests. Why would that be necessary if the parents are with them?

Some kids are solo, most are not. Otherwise there would not be this uproar of separating the kids from their parents.

Yes, there are kids traveling within their parents. None of the reports reference kids traveling with their parents AND being on birth control.
