41. Have been playing since Naismith season 7, nearly 14 years ago.
Naismith, Season 5. Take that, newbie.
Naismith season 1. It was a simpler time.
Yup. I loved the linear growth but 1.0 has some serious flaws.
My favorite was booster gifts to recruits.

I am 16, I started playing when I was like 10 under another account, I was terrible. I started up again when I was 13, and I’ve been playing ever since. I’ve tried not to mention my age on the forums in the past because I didn’t want whatever I was asking or answering to be looked at differently.

All of my friends ask me what I am doing on my phone or computer and they are all interested, but when I say it costs money to try they lose interest. I think that this game could work really well with teenagers, but the investment is in the front end as opposed to the back end. I explain to my friends that I don’t spend any money on the game anymore, but that you have to spend time and money to get good enough to do that. Teenagers are not interested in that kind of system. Look at the success of Fortnite, it’s all because it is a free game, everyone goes “it’s free I might as well try it” and then after they are sucked in they spend money just to look cool, and now Fortnite if the most successful game of all time.
Agree on this entirely the front end vs back end payment

Sixteen? I’m surprised to see someone younger than me on here. Also funny how a teenager is laying down the law in Tark.

I have also encountered the same thing with my friends. The money up front is a barrier for a lot of people my age. The difference I guess is that I have a job and enough disposable income to pay now and hopefully win later.
I won 3 March madness pools with my dads work when I was in elementary school, adding up to over $2000, and I won a couple of fantasy football leagues for more money, I’ve been riding my gambling money for my needs.
Yes same when I was like 15-17 I won my dad's work fantasy baseball pool 3 year in a row

24. Started playing when I was 12 but quit after a few seasons. Recruited strictly by overall rating and tried to pull down D2 players with gifts. I ALWAYS got caught, it was so frustrating. Like did anyone get away with the gift options in 2.0??

I never tried it. The risk/reward formula just didn't add up.
