Same as Mexico City '68...it isnt the protest, it is that protesting during the Anthem is the objection.

Well, Social Democracy can not be referred to simply as Capitalism. At best, it is a modified Capitalism, not really in keeping with Adam Smith's original idea. Ironically, and this is not meant to be insulting (even though it will come across that way because the word has been hijacked to represent ONLY a political doctrine,) Social Democracy and economic Fascism have a lot in common...a primarily capitalistic mixed economy with state interventionism to promote social welfare. Economic Fascism was meant to be a compromise, or Third Position between Capitalism and Socialism. Of course, that word can't be used intelligently today because of all the emotional baggage attached to it.

So you think it would be good for the Government, an entity so enormous it is ungovernable, according to Obama strategist David Axelrod, to own and operate businesses, utilities? Put MORE people on the government payroll, with bloated benefit and retirement packages? They will run it more efficiently ?

What in the wide, wide world of sports are you thinking?

How would you sell this to American taxpayers? How do you propose they acquire these? Get Americans to forget about the enormous sum of money owed to them by their own government? They are the debt's biggest creditors...What do you tell the investors of those companies? Hand over your shares?

I just don't understand fans of big government....Alfred E. Newman and Wile E. Coyote could see it isn't a good idea...

This is a government that is unable to list the property it owns. Why should they be in charge of our Healthcare? Schoolmates of Presidents are appointed to lead the Office of Personnel Management, despite no HR or business management experience. The largest personnel management position in the world..Ms Archuleta was at the helm when the Chinese hacked their computers. Multiple warnings of inadequate safeguards were ignored..one of the largest hacks of all time...this is how we do things, rather how we allow things to be done...we the people elect these used car salespeople to run our country...no wonder some people elected a businessman to steer this big damned ship. They are tired of it banging against the rocks...

My apologies to used car salespeople for the comparison to assclown politicians...
