New Coach Question Topic

I should know this but....

I just applied to a job in Phelan,it's "new coach" sign ups. I am going to jump in during the 2nd recruiting session right? Or do I miss that as well and can't recruit until the new season starts.

If you applied for a job, and are potentially competing with other coaches for that job during the job change period, yes, you will pick up control of your team for RS2. If you’re reserving a team for next season, you start fresh after this season’s RS2.

Basically, RS2 is part of the last season. Were you playing last season? If so, you’ll catch RS2.

You're in the job change period, not new coach sign ups. Therefore yes you will recruit 2nd session. Check out the phelan world schedule.

I am cutting the entire team....

I am going to one trick pony the **** out of the greatest NW. Shoot first, look later will be the Puget Sound motto.

Nothing more satisfying than cleaning house on a rebuild.

I've signed 9 before in one season, I am going to try to do 10. It's a little tricky with finding serviceable JUCO's but since SIM AI scouts like ALL of D3, I am hoping it's a possibility.

I’ve been realizing more lately that you can get Jucos who are serviceable as long as you are putting in enough minutes on IQ’s to compensate. My team has 5 jucos currently; things are going alright. I didn’t want to be bothered scouting guys and settled for what was left in session 2.

I am pro JUCO but my issues with them are:

1. You have to find them. CA is a great place to look but they sneak in all over the place, it seems to be they are more spread out than they used to be.
2. They are expensive, because the starting #'s are high both SIMs and inexperienced owners are all over them.\
3. They really need a high WE to develop into what you want.
4. A lot of them want minutes.

With that being said, the corollary to #2 is they are more common to have the "far from home" preference so if you can find them it's a bit of an advantage.

With that being said, I don't think I have ever seen a NC type team with more than 1 (maybe 2) JUCO's on it.

I signed 12 guys when I went to Grand Canyon, I was trash first season, PI 3rd round second season, missed out on the NT due to lack of wins third season and won the PI.
