Most elections are won based on the economy. That is generally the primary factor/driver. If good the party holds if bad the party loses. Typically.

So Bill Clinton was a great president? Look I understand that I just disagree that the difference is so great that we need to sacrifice many other values just for the economy.

That's where BL and I separate. No, not all Trump supporters are idiots. There are very valid reasons to vote red. I think many of those reasons are misguided and I disagree strongly with others (such as the military) but if your main factor is the economy then sure, vote red. Republicans care more about the economy than Democrats these days.

There are valid reasons to vote Republican. There are no valid reasons to vote for Trump.

What's the point of carrying a big stick if we aren't going to use it? Remember that I STILL support the USA having the strongest military budget in the world by a good margin. We can cut it by 200 billion dollars and still TRIPLE China's spending.
