I might stick around, but it doesn’t mean it’s good for me. It just means I’m a masochist, I’m on this site a lot, and whenever a game isn’t being played or a post hasn’t been posted, I drift over here.

Man, regulations are TERRIBLE. Who decided the government was responsible for keeping mercury from dentists’ offices out of the water system? Maybe some of us like mercury! Tree hugging bureaucrats.

man, I wish I knew why you hate us so much. Your mom and dad and neighbors. Why hate yourself?
I don't know my neighbors, so I don't hate them.
I don't like my dad very much. He is conservative, and as a result, so was I. I appreciate efficient spending as an individual, but when I started to realize how taxation actually works, and the many contradictions of modern conservatism, I gradually moved away from it.
I love my mom.
I also love myself. I do what I want. I say what I want. I envisioned this version of myself, and after many struggles, I am finally beginning to realize the life I always wanted.

Anyway, someone please tell me what those posts said. I imagine they were in response to something I said, and how ludicrous my sentiments were. I look forward to a good chuckle.
Both you and b_l hate Republicans / conservatives, yet one of you hates taxes and the other wants to tax at 99%.
I'm confused, how can two people who want such polar opposite things hate the same opponent?
this hatred of taxes is kind of silly. first of all, it prohibits you from complaining about the national debt. second, with the tariffs Trump has proposed, if you don’t pay more in taxes, you will make up the margin on imports and exports, assuming China retaliates. markets, especially....well, all of these stocks will fluctuate wildly. bye bye cheap labor: https://www.marketwatch.com/story/heres-all-the-stuff-the-us-imports-from-china-thats-causing-a-huge-trade-deficit-2018-03-23

third, and I say this again, more than half of your tax dollars go to the military.

this is either true, or the difference between the US military is now greater than 1,000 times the next strongest power: https://www.military1.com/army/article/402211-how-much-stronger-is-the-us-military-compared-with-the-next-strongest-power/

heck, I thought you guys were nationalist isolationists! what happened to America First? I guess that actually meant "keep bombing the crap out of Somalia on our tax dollars."

fourth, the children. y’all defunded CHIP. teachers are (despite your anecdotes) overworked and underpaid. they are leaving. we will have less teachers, larger class sizes and worse teachers than ever before unless we actually incentivize them to teach our children: https://www.theguardian.com/education/2018/apr/10/lesson-battle-why-teachers-lining-up-leave

and y’all have the audacity to support a wall and a military parade. pffffffff
This might be one of the top 3 dumbest posts I've read on here. "Teachers are overworked and underpaid". So, working 9 months out of the year and making $60k a year with great benefits is overworked and underpaid? Really?

16% of the budget goes to the military and it creates a significant amount of jobs in the public sector and innovation. BDS is simply lying. Schools are moving to virtual learning. 50% of my kids learning now is online. They are 12 and 14. Leftists need to get a clue.

They work 8 - 3. Half the stuff they assign kids do online So correcting stuff is easier too.

Its fewer teachers not less teachers and schools are moving to virtual classrooms anyway. Get a clue.

Boycott
Divestment
Sanctions
Netanyahu sucks. I won’t deny that. However, BDS wasn’t even a thing that I knew about (did you know about it in 2008?) when I launched the account, so you’re off on that.

I stand corrected as to the use the use of fewer vs. less.

I appreciate the fact that you’re actually putting some hard work into insulting me. "this country was founded on hard work. put your back into it! capitalism - hoorah!"

virtual classrooms would require Internet for all, computers for all, some sort of curriculum enforcement, and some way to enforce learning without cheating. we would have no use for schools. I would say there’s probably no way to enforce that children actually do the class work online. I know I wouldn’t have done it, had I not been forced to go to a school.

but what do you know? do you know how students learn? are you a child psychologist? no, you’re just a guy who read an article and thinks he can lecture me on the real world.

nice try. who’s next?

IF he sucks so much....why did Obama have to send over his politicos and tons of money to try and influence a soverign nations elections?
Did you see the pallets full of CASH MONEY Obama secretly gave Iran?
Was it Billions or ONLY hundreds of MILLIONS? And tell us about the inner city and education again.
Did all that money come from the DNC or did he do it on my dime? Impeachable?
And why can't the Dems be happy with just rigging their own primaries and stealing American elections. Why go international?
You should probably clean off your own plate first before you go grabbing' somebody else's.

How much innovation? How many jobs?

While programs like Google Classroom are helping teachers, we are a long ways out from completely virtual learning. And even if we did have that tech, you wouldn't be willing to spend the money on it because of the 800 billion we spend on the military.

Fact is that BDS is right on this one. Many parents need their kids to attend school because they are working at that time. And that's not even factoring in people without the funds or electricity to make this work. Unless you want to invest billions into the idea, which I'm not totally against, schools are not moving virtual.
