I play vets who aren't going to improve maybe 3-4 games in the very beginning and get them around 10 ABs, then rest them for 14 days, which is better than playing them later in Spring because they get 14 consecutive days off, which I think helps later in the long season with their durability. I play top position player prospects every game but sub them out early so they get as many games played as possible without wearing them out. Top starting pitching prospects, I use tandem starters to get them as many starts as possible with full rest, limiting their pitch counts to 40 and setting the "pull" to 5. Relief prospects i put in set up or long relief and put their pitch count max at 5 and "pull" to 5. Not sure if this is 100% correct, just what I do.
