The 1974 True Rookie League is looking to Expand to 24 Team League. We are Adding the 1910 Players to Our League.

What makes this League Different from other Progressive Leagues is this. All Players will Revert Back to there Rookie Seasons of Play. Our League Started in 1961 Season. We will be Looking to ADD 10 Teams to the League. Adding the 1910 Players will bring a Vast Diversion of Players to the League. So you should be Able to Play and Win in the Tournament of Champions. This is a Progressive League.

All Players from 1910 Are Free to be Drafted. There are Many 1974 Players still to be Drafted as Well. So you won't be Joining a Stacked League. It's the Perfect Chance to Build your Own Team from Scratch. Babe Ruth and Others will be in the League in a Few years. Please Read my Rules and Join the Fun.

RULES AJUSTED - STARTING IN 1973...
ADDING THE DH TO THE LEAGUE...

1974 WILL HAVE THIS ADDED TO THE LEAGUE...

Yes, My Plans are to Add the 1910 Players starting in the 1974 Season of the True Rookie League. I also will be Reverting all Players that is on your 1974 Roster and Players that are on the Avaibles Player List in 1974 back to there Rookie Seasons. This Means Willie Mays, Ted Williams, Nolan Ryan will be Rookies again. But, Each Keeper Teams may only keep a Max of 20 (This Draft Only) for the 1910/1974 Season's Draft. All Retiring Players (Like Koufax, Drysdale) will be thrown back into the 1974 Draft as Rookies also. They will become Keepers after the 1974 Draft has been Completed, If they being all of the Retiring Players are Re-drafted. We will also Expand the Rosters on each Team to 35 Players Total (This Draft Only) If we do Add the 1910 Players to the League. This should help in the fatigue factor during the Season. Computer Generated AAA Players may not be used at anytime during the Season of Play. This will Add Great Verity of Years and depth to the Draft and the League and should help Balance or Help Off set and Keep the 1910 Players from Dominating the League. We will do a Random Draft Order (Lottery) to set the Draft Order... But we would then go to a Serpertine Format (For this Draft Only)... (Rotating back and forth each round) to not Penzlize owners for having to Draft at the End of the 1st Round... We would then give all the New owners an Extra Pick after each round of the Draft. (But the Extra Picks would only be for 15 Rds Max)... 1 - Pick the Last 5 Rds = 35 Players... This allows them (New Owners) to field a Competive Team.

We will be Looking to ADD 10 New Owners and Bring our Teams to 24 Total.

Then I have Decided to Just use the Re-boot (Rebirth) of all the Players on the 1974 Rosters. All Retiring from 1972 and 1973 Players (Like Koufax, Drysdale) will be thrown back into the 1974 Draft as Rookies also to be Re-Drafted.

Questions about IR Years :

It will be the Same Rules as our Original League that Started in 1961.
All 1910 Players as well as the 1974 Players, NO Player will be on the Injured Reserve List.
They will simply Move to there Next Year of Play in the Wiz.
UNLESS their Next year of Play moves them Beyond the Current Season of Play.
Example : The Year of Play is 1913/1976
A 1910 Player that Started his Career in 1912, but his next Wiz Year of Play was 1914.
Then the the Player would have to go on the IR List.
Because His 2nd Year of Play would move him Beyond the Current Season of Play.
NO Player can Advance Beyond the Current Year Of Play and that was 1913...

Typing Error... 2 Picks for 15 Rounds and then 1 Pick last 5 Rds... = 35 Players

If you're looking for a unique progressive, then this is it. We will have players from the 1890s through 1910, some of whom will play into the 1930s. Plus there will be players from the 1940s all the way to 1974, and many of them will continue into the 80s and even the 90s. How's that for a diverse player pool?

And we have a great group of owners, too.

So, in the first round I will be getting my very 1st player, and you will be getting your 21st player ?????

Yes each Team has 20 Keepers. Maybe 3 hall of Famers and a Bunch of Players. (Mostly Favorite Players) who were Not or ever Superstars. When everyone reverts Back in time to there Rookie Year. There is NO Advantage at all. Most Players don't mature right away. Sometimes 2-3 Years, sometimes 5 yrs or More. We are Looking for Expansion. This will be our 14th Year of Play. You would have to Build your Team just like everyone else has done. Your going to get 2 Players for the 1st 15 Rounds. If you know Baseball at all. It won't take Long to Build a Championship Team. Even if you Finished in the Bottom Teams for the Next 3 years. You going to get the Best Talent Avaible. Looking ahead, Isn't a Chance of Getting Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Pete Alexander and Many More Great Players make it exciting???

When you take over a Deserted Team and that's what uselly happens when you get a Team already Drafted. You get the leftovers. This isn't what your going to get joining this League. There are Many Superstar, Great Players avaible to Build your Team.

If this doesn't Strike your Fancy. Then there are Many Other Teams you can Join. But your Really Missing the Big Opportunity here. With all the True Rookies from 1910 and 1974 to Draft, Plus anyone Not already Owned and I listed a Butch of Great Players above. There are still Many, Many more Players to be Drafted.

Most of the Superstar Players Drafted back in 1961 have all Retired. NOT ALL, But Most have Retired. Our League had become a Single Season Progressive League. So to Bring Back that Excitement, that's when we Decided to also Use 1910 Players all being also Rookies. If having Nolan Ryan (Who takes 5yrs to Become Great) gives me an Advantage. Then you have Deffently Missed the Big Picture here.

Do you already have a list of available players and if not, how soon will that be ready ? Have the existing owners all posted their 20 keepers ? All 1974 players revert to their rookie seasons as well, correct ?
