I spent 5 years working at a grocery store over 30 years ago, and even then I can guarantee you the rate for proper Food Stamp use was nowhere close to 90% even then. Texted the kid across the street who works in one now, and he said it might be 51%.

I know. That is what makes it so much better. You don't see your own biased stupidity. You just insulted all3, strikeout, Doug and Tucker. LMAO. Now I wish I voted for Trump too.
Easy there. I did not vote for Trump. I do think he was a much better option than HRC (my dog would have been a better option for president than her), but the lesser of two evils is not a good reason to vote in my opinion. The lesser of two evils is still evil. I think he has done some good things for America since taking office, but I also think he's a swindler and is beneath the dignity of the office with the comments that he makes. Honestly, he makes me nervous.

I agree with most of this(athough I think HRC was a better candidate, not much better, mind you, but better). I don't see too many good things he has done since taking office. The economy is doing fairly well, but it was doing fairly well before he took office.
I'm just curious. Excluding Trump's character and the comments that he makes, what mistakes do you feel he has made as president?
well, besides the fact that I feel he is helping to divide the country, I haven't been overly impressed with any of his cabinet appointments or his supreme court appointments, although that's not a surprise, since I don't agree with him on most issues. One of my biggest problems with him is his lack of class or decorum, or whatever you want to call it. The POTUS should have some dignity. He has none.

to you, none of those negatives are big deals. To other people they might be. Yet another example of you thinking your opinion is fact.

See, that's where we differ. I like his SC nominations, which it's only natural for us to disagree on this as we take different sides on most issues. Obviously, where we do agree is that he's classless.
8/11/2018 3:56 PM
not surprised we differ there. You are more conservative than I am..

"I don't need to do my work. I'll always receive a check." Guess what, that 6th grader was correct.
Yeah, that's a problem. I think the welfare system needs to be adjusted and restructured. It's still used correctly by like 90% of people who actually need it so obviously we still need welfare.

Proof regarding Iran. Now prove that 90% use welfare correctly. As in they don't trade their foodstamps for less $$ so they can buy cigarettes and scratch tix.

Improper welfare payments, including fraud, are estimated to be 10.6% of all federal welfare payments made and totaled $77.8 billion in fiscal year 2016...
“ ‘Improper payments’ occur when:

  • funds go to the wrong recipient;
  • the right recipient receives the incorrect amount of funds (including over payments and underpayments);
  • documentation is not available to support a payment; or
  • the recipient uses funds in an improper manner.

I would also like to see evidence that 90% use it correctly.

P.S. IMO if you are healthy enough to work, you should not receive government assistance.
We are on the same page and if you chose to be a fat slob all your life and at 70 you have diabetes, are in a wheel chair and need heart pills, that is on you. Pay for it yourself. Don't make me pay for you living a life of a fat loser. There should be an annual spend cap.
So if you are poor, just die. Well said.

How fitting. The very first member of Congress(Chris Collins) to endorse Trump gets arrested for fraud.

I mean if you are poor and old, you need healthcare. When was the last time you saw a 70-80 year old being healthy and staying fit?
