Well, sometimes flat-heads are necessary. Other times, they aren’t the correct tool for the job.
I'm starting to notice that analogies are not your strong suit.
Do you have a specific complaint about the analogy?
Sure. A flathead screw driver is not going to come crashing down on me when unexpected circumstances arise like it does when you are burdened by debt.
Well, a screwdriver used for the wrong task could damage whatever it is you’re working on, get you electrocuted, etc.
A screwdriver misused can cause problems. Like debt. But, use it well and it becomes an effective way to deal with a variety of problems.
The national debt isn’t crashing down on anyone unexpectedly. We service it without problems and we control our currency.
