If every tax payer in America paid $1100 more per month in taxes, which we both can agree is unrealistic, you would only add $1.6 Tr in Revenue.

Im still not seeing how it's affordable.
It was just an example. It wasn’t the actual number.
Yes, but your number is fairly accurate if it is indeed going to be cheaper than what it is costing now.

Tang, you are also an advocate for socialized healthcare. Maybe you can show me how it is affordable.
Somehow, we pay, as a whole $3.3 trillion a year for health care in the current system.
8/13/2018 2:14 PM
I see what you're saying. Bernie's plan would cost $3.2 per year. We currently spend $3.3 per year. I still don't understand how either is or would be funded.

When Sanders promises free health care, he means it. But, as O'Rourke warned us, BernieCare will really cost us a whole lot more. Sanders' own estimates suggest that BernieCare would cost roughly $13.8 trillion over its first decade of operation, roughly a 30 percent increase in federal spending.

What did Trump say about it?
I already answered this question. I am not going down that path again. He criticized the DNC. Do you have amnesia.

AOC is pro Palestine too. The new face of your party.

pass
You can be pro Palestine and pro Israel.
Not in my opinion. That is like being pro Confederate and pro Union. You need to pick a side.
You can be pro Confederate and pro Union if you said that both could coexist?

Also you ignored this question from a while back: If Israel were to take over Palestine, where would you want those Palestinians to go?
Any of the 50+ other Islamist countries.
And make them stronger and more radical while also bringing Hamas and Hezbollah to them? Seems like a plan.

So, you think cutting the military budget in half would only cost 10 jobs?
That was hyperbole obviously. I said it because CCCP refuses to say how many jobs he thinks we would lose, despite saying that it would kill our economy.
There are roughly 4M people employed by the military including private contractors. For simplicity's sake, let's assume that if you cut the budget in half, you lose half of those people. You don't think 2M people losing their job would cripple the country?
Do those 4M include soldiers or people employed in that area? The only people that would lose their jobs would be private contractors and I'm sure we could find a way to make less than half lose their jobs?
About 3M of them are soldiers.
Right, so we are probably looking at, at absolute maximum, 250,000 jobs lost. I doubt it would be that high.
Idiot what about the private sector and all those jobs?
How many jobs lost?

So, cutting the budget in 1/2 only results in a 1/16 decrease in jobs. Please stop and think about what you're saying for a second.
Why would it be proportionate? You would restructure the spending, not just cut. No soldiers would be let off obviously.

In our current state it isn't, realistically.

That's lower than what we are saying. We are talking around 3 trillion per year. But if you think it costs 1.38 trillion per year then go ahead.

I'm not saying it would be proportionate, but you said that cutting 1/2 the budget would only result in 1/16 job reduction. Please show me how that would work. Maybe you have a knack for restructuring, but if you can make this happen you might want to reconsider field choice and enter business and finance. You would be a very rich man.
8/13/2018 3:09 PM
I admittedly am not a finance expert, but I don't see your logic here. There's only 1 million potential jobs at risk. I don't see why we wouldn't be able to restructure it to spend less but keep the most amount of jobs possible? Please, someone explain it to me.
8/13/2018 3:11 PM
Also, if you are making that argument, you would have to say the same about medicare, medicaid, welfare, etc.

I'm not against socialized medicine. I am for what is best for America and greater mankind. I just have yet to see anyone produce numbers that are feasible. This is my problem with Bernie. People support him because his ideas sound good. I think that is bad for the country. Support him if his proposals make sense. Neither you nor B_L seem very confident in the numbers.

No, there are 4M jobs at risk. Cutting the budget affects the whole military, not just private contractors. Also, the military needs many of those private contractors.

Way more than 1 mil OMG!!!! What a dummy Tang is. I already educated his dumbass on this.
