Here’s something different – a Regressive league.
This league will start with the most recent year available in the data base – which is currently 2016-2017 – and go back 20 years – currently 1996-1997 -for the initial player pool. The league will then REGRESS one season at a time.
The league will utilize player "contracts”. You will sign each player you draft to a 1, 2 or 3 year contract. The duration of the contract is your choice as GM and you will announce your signings at the end of every draft. Note – I/R years will count towards the contract. When a contract expires the player re-enters the draft pool.
The inaugural draft order will be a wraparound – 1 to 24, 24 to 1, 1 to 24, 24 to 1, etc. The initial draft order will be determined by lottery.
There will be no trading during or after the initial draft – this includes draft picks and players. Trading opens up during the first off season.
