Let's say that I am a 65 year old elderly person who is low middle class/below poverty line. How does your plan impact my life?
Simple. Now she calls the MD and says my leg hurts. The office assistant asks. What is your insurance? She says Medicare. She says we can see you in 3 weeks. MD makes less from Medicare than those with Corp. coverage so they postpone her. By week 2 the leg is really bad and the old lady goes to the ER. It is just a foot sprain but she made it worse by walking on it. They give her an air cast, meds, etc. and charge ER rates.

My plan would be to have Medicare cover as much as Corp. Ins. So now the MD sees her right away. He says its a mild foot sprain stay off it for a few days and take some Advil. She gets better and no ER visit. Delta in fee is about $2k.

That is ONE example.
any doctor who postpones seeing someone because of their medical coverage shouldn't be a doctor.
This is exactly what happens. Doctors want to make $$$.

I think we agree here, but we aren't on the same page.
I just gave you an example. Which is factual. Do you have some more specific questions? I will be happy to answer them.

How about holding lazy fat *** people accountable who have diabetes and such and cannot work? This country is FAT. How about prosecuting those who game the system?

Well, that's great and all, but I live in Kansas, my church is not wealthy enough to pay for anything, My friends are all millennials, and Kris Kobach is going to be my next governor. What now.
Maybe you should get a job that pays a strong wage instead of relying on the Gov't to help you achieve your goals of helping the less fortunte? Personal responsibility goes a long way.

I think it is the government's responsibility to care about the well-being of its citizens.
that's a very noble idea, but there are approximately 325 million citizens. There is no way the government can take care of all of them. What is good for some of those citizens may not be good for others. The key is the government should try to do the most good while also doing the least amount of harm, because as I said, what is good for some citizens will not be good for others.
I agree with you.

I agree that we have an obesity issue in America. There are strong links between poverty and obesity, because healthy food costs more. There are people in America who want to eat healthy, but cannot. It sucks. We need to fix that. We shouldn't punish people for being poor.

There are also strong links between poverty and obesity as fat people tend to be undisciplined and lack motivation. Sounds harsh, but it's the reality. I stand behind people all the time paying with EBT cards and they are buying potato chips and soda.

Ever glance into an automobile at the drive up window of a Bosa Donuts/MacDonald's/any Fast food joint???

Drive up windows should be outright banned!
IF you can't get your fat *** out of your vehicle and in the door of the establishment you shouldn't be allowed to partake further of their Food!
Pluswise, the idling automobile spews countless UNNECCESSARY **** into the air. Park it, shut it off, and walk in the door you lardass!

That's what I say :-)

Some people, maybe. Do you also accept that what I said is true?

I hear ya, bob.

Welp, i'm off to Pizza Hut to pick my large sausage and mushroom through the drive-up window.

Nope. I was poor at one time and still ate healthy. What you said is complete BS. Fat people are fat because they are undisciplined. Stop denying reality.

Doctors do make money without delaying seeing patients on Medicare.
9/18/2018 11:49 AM
Like I said, I have never heard of a doctor delaying seeing a patient. There are quite a few who do not take Medicaid as insurance.

You are wrong. Many poor people are fat because fast food costs less than healthy food. Especially if you have a family.

Stop being dumb. Fast food is more expensive than cooking healthy at home. STOP BEING DUMB!
