That was a bad year, and to think I went into the year preranked 33rd, somebody's rankings were way off!

Eh, to be fair, you had four 90+ win teams the year before. Hard to ignore that in the rankings

That could've been one of those themes where people drafted too few innings (something like 160M cap, spend no more than 60M on pitching).

As we near the home stretch here, there are some great storylines right around the border of making Round 2. This is probably the most exciting time in the tournament, to me.



You have upstart, relative newcomers like NebHusker, bothways, mdc2276 and redcped all currently on track to make The Cage. Can they hold on amid tough competition?

Not far off their heels are formidable veterans like newarkwilder, bighooze and former second place finisher shaybee. You know they won't cave to the pressure.

You have toddcommiish, who fell apart in the playoffs last year to just barely miss out on his first trip to Round 2. Can this be the year?

And then there's markeking who, despite a pre-rank of 19, was in 70th(!) after the first 162 games. He has charged back to 38th, but does he have enough time left to make up for that horrid start?



And, at the top, there's still some drama. Without any poor teams (as expected), brianjw has ascended from the teens up into third place, but has had trouble gaining any ground on me.

At the same time, true upstart wink0094 has shocked just about everyone by holding firm in second place most of the way. Will the other shoe fall like it has for others (think asufan04 a few years ago), or will he prove his success so far is not a fluke?

Lastly, can I continue to push my lead, or will the lead by up for grabs come playoff time?

Despite leading the tournament by 20+ points right now, I may end up with three wild card teams since, in three of my leagues, I have the second best team and happen to have the best team in my division.

1 playoff team right now, that hurts. Some great luck in my divisions- in the $110 i have the 3rd best team overall and the other 2 are in my division lol.

Trying to stay positive, but the reality is we've been getting our @ss kicked since the all-star break and are tumbling away from round 2. Still hopeful that we can recover but not looking good right now. Still having fun though!! This is such a cool tournament.

75 wins in the fourth stanza was a huge disappointment. Last year my second half stanzas were 86,90,95 and I finished 31st. I think I need 200 wins in the final third to sniff Round 2. Very unlikely but not inconceivable. My record in one-run games must improve for me to have any chance (70-98 so far).

Last year, 562 was the point cutoff for Round 2. The lowest amount of wins to make it there was 510. I believe the lowest ever is 499.
