He's in a tough spot if he doesn't think Kavanaugh is being honest.

Trump should have nominated a woman and bad luck completely missed the point of my post.
Doesn't b_l miss the point of every post made by everyone, because in his mind he is superior and knows all?

bob, you better be careful, I can't argue with a single thing in your last couple posts.

We are all at the mercy of FBI agents who are wasting their time instead of fighting domestic terror.

Seems like an investigation into allegations against someone who could end up on the Supreme Court for life is a valuable use of FBI time. It’s not like they’ll stop all other investigations.

You are right that trump should have nominated someone else. There are plenty of equally conservative judges who haven't been credibly accused by multiple women of assault.
Accused does not equal guilty. The point of this entire thread.
He isn't on trial.

If you were looking to hire someone for a prestigious position in a company you ran, would you hire someone who had been credibly accused of assault? I wouldn't. Especially when there are plenty of other equally qualified candidates.
"Credibly" accused is the key. GOP claims they are not credible.

Here is what is funny. If the Dems had the majority and Kav was a Dem pick then the Dems would call Ford not Credible and the GOP would say she was. This is 100% about politics. 0% about the truth.
The GOP isn't claiming that they aren't credible. In fact, GOP Judiciary Committee Senator Jeff Flake called for an investigation of the accusation.

It's absolutely not 100% politics as evidenced by Gorsuch's confirmation.
It is and Flake was bullied into it. We'll see what he does on Fri. He gave the FBI a week. We already stated that only three Dems voted for Gorsuch..those in RED STATES.
OK, Here's the deal. Bullied?? I think not, Flake is a big boy who sometimes exhibits courage. He's thinking about a pres. run in his future.

He stated VERY publicly that He could NOT have done what he did (ask for a 1 week delay/investigation) IF he was running for re-election.
I ask you (ALL) what does that say about our Senate, our "system", when a candid honest admission from a Senator that IF he was running for re-election He would NOT have been able to do what HE thought best for the Country?? He admits He could only do what he thought right because HE wasn't running for re-election.

It appears to me that the Bully-ing comes from WITHIN the "parties"!
So much so that OUR elected officials admit they can't do what's best for US! (due to party political pressure!)
Flake looks like an indecisive wimp. He should have told Graham from the outset he agreed with the Dems.
Flake IS a wimp. No question. But HE prides himself on virtue/values. He's a Mormon. And He THINKS he (still) has a future........... even POTUS maybe.
Stop laughing......... it ain't what I think. None the less, He was just up Boris's way, giving speeches, etc (including N.H.).
He WILL try to do what He thinks is best for the Country. That means if the FBI substantiates portions of bad Bret's story and doesn't reveal him to be a liar (under oath liar) and doesn't find the "pecker-wagging" story credible, He'll vote to confirm him. He is in complete alignment with Kavanaugh's (stated) Judicial philosophy.

IF the FBI substantiates ANY of the HS sex hi-jinx or they deliver clear evidence of an under oath falsehood, Flake will vote no.

"bob, you better be careful, I can't argue with a single thing in your last couple posts. "

TY All3. Sometimes I try and use my brain and basic logic (common sense) to ferret thru the obvious.
I'm not really surprised that, (separate all this HS BS) at the root of things, you wouldn't favor Kavanaugh, what with him being a rather obvious elitist and panderer to power that he is...........
We probably agree more than we know, or maybe would like...... :-)

Oh, and I forgot. Lindsay Graham.

I'm nearly ashamed. Back when Graham had McCain to lead him around by the nose he generally stayed within the bounds of sanity. Heck, I (at one point) thought HE might have been the best of the Rep. Candidates, silly me.

But, now that McCain is (sadly, for the Country) gone. I'm afraid the Batman and Robin thing has run amok. Robin (sans Batman) has completely lost his gourd, one minute he's railing at all the dems for this (supposed) delay in "sharing allegations", and calling them shameless power grabbers playing horrid politics, and the next minute he's swearing he KNOWS it isn't His good friend Feinstein because He Knows She'd never do such a thing.

The thing is, (with Graham) the damn hearing just lasted too daggone long, causing him to go too long without his meds. As soon as his internal chemistry returns to normal (a couple of days.......likely after he hears from Cindy and/or Meghan McCain to STFU) he'll be OK, and playing politics with the Dems (again) like He always ends up doing. He's a toad!

Kavanaugh probably wouldn't have been at the top of my list, but based on what I heard when he was nominated (from both Parties) and what I've heard (or haven't heard) recently, I'd vote to approve him. One woman's 36 year-old hearsay, and a few stories about overdrinking and (OMG) throwing ice just aren't enough to convince me. I know far, far too many people who have done worse than overdrink and throw ice, who became greatly different people once they left College for the "real" World. Again, if PROOF about anything remotely sexual assault related comes-out, that changes everything. BOTH sides should be ashamed of how they've acted and what they've said. "Draining the Swamp" is exactly what is needed. Just isn't happening with Trump elected as a Republican (as it MIGHT have had he lost the Primary and won the General as a 3rd-Party candidate). Far, far too many professional Politicians in Office, thanks to our Parties.

10/2/2018 4:29 PM
Man. I'm trying.................. You don't really need anything more to conclude he's a liar, do you??? If so, IMO, that's a clear lack of objectivity.
Pluswise, he's an elitist of the HIGHEST order. In simple terms, an example of the PROBLEM. He'll rule with/for the privileged..........EVERY TIME!
10/2/2018 4:29 PM
Boris, You ain't gonna try that tactic on one of your daughters when you have a serious disagreement/difference of wills............ are you?

Looks like they got NOTHING on Kavanaugh. Everybody's backpedalling. This investigation is over.

The Dems look stupid. And mean.

Just think if someone took out a huge newspaper ad proclaiming your guilt when you were innocent. That would be horrible, dont you think?

That will never happen. I rule with an iron fist. BTW - women at Harvard cite sexual harassment due to the allegations vs. Kav so he won't be teaching there anymore or coaching his kids. Some job interview....if he is guilty this is deserved. If innocent...it sucks.
