the date is from old testament...some 5800 years ago god created the earth.......the people who believe every word of the bible as literal truth..there are tens of millions....it is no wonder they fear human evolution science and climate science......it is an educated assumption that the vast majority that think gay people are sinners because of the bible are believers in the 5800 year old earth.

Religious Scholars and Historians will agree that a day was not always 24 hours and that a year was not always 365 days.

Those things have been differently defined even during written history, so thinking it was different from today when God created things is certainly not far-fetched. I know I'm in the minority, but I believe in creation and evolution (to a point). We have no idea how long God's "day" was, or how many different versions of "in his own image" he tried before finding the one he liked. That's MY belief. If you want to know more of them, just ask - don't go around making sheit up.
