Finding Transfers Topic

The season is almost over and I was looking at one of the top teams that has a really good junior not getting many minutes. The players work ethic dropped 11 points this season so I'm thinking he might choose to transfer over playing time. I would love to get this player on my team for 1 season, however, the team is far from me and the player's hometown is far (not sure which of those the player bases the schools he contacts on). Is there any way for me to be able to recruit this player if he doesn't reach out to me to tell me he is transferring? If I know what state he is from, can I scout it?

after the player transfers you should be able to find him by scouting the state he is originally from. Assuming you haven't already scouted that state.

If you’ve recruited the state, you can still find him via assistant search, but it gets a little trickier, depending on how far away it is.

Never heard of a player transferring due to low minutes unless it’s because of a broken promise. If the junior has played on that squad for 3 seasons, chances are slim that he will up & leave.

In the old system they used to transfer. No longer.

This is the #1 biggest flaw in WIS - we only had 1 transfer in IBA this season. Transfers would make this game so much more exciting!!!!

I lost 2 players in Iba due to broken promises. You're welcome everyone!

You can only find them with Assistant Scouts. Maybe they are hiding in a cave and the assistant scout is there to save them.

Reviving this thread to make sure I understand this correctly....
Is the only way to find transfers (that don't reach out to your school) - via the Assistant coach scout? I assume you could choose a geographical range/position/etc and 'find new players' ?

A transfer trick is to look at the school's box scores that they used to play at (assuming they played in games) and click not he player and you can see their rating history.

No. You can also find transfers by purchasing the scouting service for that state. However, you have to purchase the state after the player has already decided to transfer. This method does not work if you have previously purchased scouting service for that state.

Otherwise, you will have to use the assistant coach to find transfers.
