On that topic, I wonder if this format would work with a salary cap. Could end up that everyone goes in different directions and there's less overlap of choices, or that the cap concentrates demand even further?
Probably true that this depends more on whether the owners who are playing have similar styles or not, though, regardless of cap.
Donburgh's Exclusive Ownership league is similar but entire rosters are submitted instead of 1 round at a time. It has a salary cap...at $100M-120M, you still have a slew of good players worth using, and many winning strategies. Here we are using marquee player seasons, instead of just mere All-Stars. ..you see owners get as few as 6 or 7 players, or up to 20 with their initial roster submission...many of the usual suspects get blacklisted in the early going...
I asked Don the other day as to when he will run another season. He's been busy, but I hope it is soon...it usually takes less than 10 rounds to get through it.
It has run 59 seasons...here was the last one...
