As a kid, I never realized how important it is to be a fast baseball player. Then I got to high school and it was like, "oh ****, no one cares that I can hit if it takes me eighteen seconds to get to first."

I was lucky that our strength and conditioning coach had a killer squats/sprints program.

60 feet really?? IDK baseball was not my sport. I played hoops and football. I stopped playing baseball after 8th grade. Could not hit the curve.

I wasn't too slow to play. I just had to absolutely bust my *** in the weight room to generate enough power to run fast enough to make up for my ******, slow-twitch genetics.

60 yards. Baseball players are typically measured in the 60 yard dash and the 90 (home to first).
