This draft should have allowed 2 versions of every player. The second version chosen would have to be a higher salary than the first, in keeping with the theme. And no trades allowed, like mentioned earlier...

I need two... there are 3 above my salary. I have this strong feeling 1 is about to disappear right before my double pick. And since I can't voluntarily take a penalty, I guess I'm forced to take those two (alternative I could wait for the really high priced one but that's just asking for a very large penalty later). This is the precise situation that brianjw pointed out earlier.

Like I said this theme is poorly designed.

Note about penalties: On the chance that someone plans poorly (or gets screwed by trading and not by poor planning) and is left with a situation where there are no players available with a higher salary than their previous pick, they will need to pick a player with a higher salary than the player they selected two rounds prior, and they will incur a penalty of 5 points per player they need to select this way.
