You cannot seem to control your OWN desire to abuse the redline feature. I waste no more time on you dina. I have come to the conclusion you are the biggest nutjob on here and you are now the second person I've blocked. Congrats you and Dougout.......good company!

Please post more nonsense on here...... THAT's the only thing that belittles you!
saved.

Nobody on here could possibly be MORE of a music fan than I. Also a huge T. Wilbury fan (as well as Harrison, Dylan and Petty). You guys are quite free to espound on your musical tastes and dislikes......... I read them after all, and see nothing wrong with music OPINIONS.

BUT, when making statements, you need to keep it correct/factual or expect to get called out if you state something false. There are other music fanatics reading (me, for just one) and music is a passionate subject for many of us.

I make no apologies for calling Dino out on Bullsh*t, musically. He's done it before and I called him out then and got redlined repeatedly for just that--------making him look bad for a bullsh*t statement-----------he's thin skinned and NOT that knowledgable musically IMO!

An example of such bullsh*t is Freddie Mercury in the Wilburys. That's complete insanity!!
NONE of them would have wanted him anywhere near that project.
And, yes, it was primarily George's idea. He had the basic idea and voiced it to Lynne during the Cloud 9 "sessions".
Petty has "recalled" them inviting him to join and then going to Dylan's house to ask him. They then went to an Orbison show to talk with him before the gig. It's all very public info.

That's WHY you should (be able to) get it right.
End of story.
there's nothing wrong with pointing out when someone is wrong, but you can do so nicely, instead of belittling people.
The question I asked to wylie about what I said to belittle Dina got redlined!! So I ask again Wylie, Find me where I belittled Crying man Dina in my initial post in this matter!
there seems to be a problem in understanding right from wrong......
maybe belittled is not the right word, but you did not have to say any of this:
" I don't think you know near as much as you think you know about rock music.
Stick with your meaningless lists!
You won't be incorrect that way. "

You could have just said you're wrong. Here is what actually happened.
Telling someone they don't know nearly as much as they think they do is belittling, and telling them to stick to their meaningless lists is also not very nice. As I said, that did not have to be said. It adds nothing to the conversation and personally, if someone said it to me, I'd be a little insulted.
I think I know a good deal about rock music, but I know there are many things I don't know, and also many things I probably think I know but I am wrong about. I have no problem with someone pointing out an error I may make, and educating me as to the correct information, but I wouldn't appreciate being insulted in the process. I'm pretty sure you (Bob) are quite a bit older than dino, so you've had more time to learn information.

we have a deal.
I'm on your side with this one, dino...even if you are a nutjob.

Karen Carpenter would have been a good fill-in for Roy Orbison. She too was from London.

I've said all I'm going to say about it.

hadn't she already died by that time? I may be wrong, as I was never much of a Carpenter fan.

edit
I was right. She died in 1983 and Orbison died in 1988. Being dead, she probably would not have been a very good replacement for Roy! :)

A producer/promoter friend of mine here in Detroit talked to me this morning about playing on a
rock guitar-oriented tribute to this classic...

LITTLE STEVIE WONDER - "Fingertips Part 2"

Any opinions or thoughts?
Almost anything Wonder did up through the early 70s is solid gold. I have worn out several copies of Innervisions in my lifetime.

karen carpenter was such a tragic person.....such a shame...one of the most beautiful voices ever....john lennon liked the carpenters.
she recorded one of my all time favorite songs...calling occupants of interplanetary craft by klaatu.

I think the Wilburys needed a classic solid voice type to replace Orbison. Dylan was classic, but not a "good" voice. Maybe someone like Eddie Vedder or a totally unique voice like Neil Young.

Yes. I was intentionally being inaccurate...hence the London reference. She was born in Connecticut.

...one of the best low-range female voices.
11/15/2018 6:04 PM
if they took a female chrissie hynde would have been interesting.
its too late now but melissa ethridge would have made a good janis jopllin ijn the movies.
11/15/2018 6:05 PM
she had a great voice...just wasn't a big fan
11/15/2018 6:05 PM
Chrissy Hynde would have been AWESOME replacing Orbison in the Wilburys.

89 - 90 was when dylan's voice imo started going sour.....neil young would have been interesting...also 1990 willie nelson........it is a shame but chuck berry could not have worked....he was so selfish.....keith richards who idolized chuck said he could not work with him.
