Wow. I feel strongly differently than K26 and damag on this one.
A is the "best available player," and it's only somewhat close. If you make A play out of position at the natural positions for B and C, and consider his glove at those positions, A is a better overall 1B than C, and a better overall RF than B. And he can play 2B/3B, and play them both well.
Here is a list of things in the rest of the profile that would lead me to consider taking B over A:
- A throws left-- and even then I'd probably take him and play him in LF or RF over the other 2 (but then it would be close enough to look at small differences in the rest of the profile)
- B has speed > 95 AND BR > 80, and A doesn't
- A has a very bad rating somewhere in the rest of the profile, such as a makeup under about 30, or health under about 40, or durability under about 65
- A threatened your mom when you interviewed him.
