Yes, Trump lies. Yes, his tweets are purposeless and annoying. That's all been said before. Does that give us the Ok to lie and make assumptions about him? Maybe you think so, but I don't.
I keep asking why the rest of the World should show our (all of our) President any respect, when we don't. If we argue and disregard whatever he (or she, in the future) says, of course the rest of the World will too. Not at all. Countries should be making agreements with us knowing that those agreements are subject to change with any change in Administration, unless an end date is specifically noted. No means no (unless you're a Republican Legislator, but that's another thread). Asylum is NOT a possibility. Much like a 2-year old election, this asylum garbage needs to be let go and moved-on from. What Trump has said is irrelevant in this case. What the law says is more important. The Caravan explicitly exists to seek asylum, not to infiltrate our government and blow up America. Asylum has been a legal process for a long, long time and we are still here. We allow people to seek asylum to save lives. Many people seeking asylum are fleeing gang violence, poverty, etc. We had a flawed, but better approach earlier: Catch and Release. We should go back to that and stop shooting plastic bullets at children.

I think the Presidents word only matters if they change the law. The President can't just say something and magically make it true.

1. Why are you suggesting discrimination based on religion? Someone needs to fact-check that, but pretty sure that's explicitly against the constitution.
2. We can provide asylum and help fix countries, I am 100% on board with that.
3. I don't think you understand how the system works. We have a court, and people show up in front of the court, and the court either rules that they can stay or they have to go back. You can't just seek asylum for no reason.
