What are the highest Team Overall ratings ever at each division? I've got a team with a high number (no where near the highest) and it made the thought come to mind

Overall definitely matters. It's just not that ONLY thing that matters. It's just another piece to the puzzle and you need to dig a little deeper to understand how 'good' the team is.

But in general a player with 700 overall rating is going to be better than the one that is 500. And a team with 12 scholarship players that is 700 overall is going to be better than the team with 12 scholarship players that is 500 overall.

Ive honestly never looked at overall in my life.

The weird thing to me here is.... we look at numbers all day long on here. For hours sometimes. Teams, stats, players..... how is it possible to not notice overall rating?! You have 100 plus different number figures in a big square on your team page, and ONE giant that stands alone in the top right corner by itself! Do you all put tape on your monitors or something??? Of course it doesn't matter. But it was just a question!

people can see a tiny lil height and weight and GPA number. And talk about it. But the most stand alone, big number on the screen gets avoided like a disease haha.

I take some of what I said back..... now that I think about it, every player has a photo. And I haven't glanced at one of them in years.

If you use player roles you dont see overall rating.

I would think someone kept track of ratings stats somewhere. It's just another number in a game of numbers.

What is the highest overall player roles rating that you’ve seen at each level?

I had a guy this season who reached 76.8 at the PG spot. Usually I’ve always looked at the rating as anyone above 50.0 is acceptable at that position.

Prior to the update there was a D2 team that had an overall rating over 700. That was back when elite D2 teams had ratings in the 650's and I *think* the consensus, at the time, was no one had ever seen a D2 team over 700. No clue about D3. Again, prior to the update, there were D1 teams (specifically in the ACC in Allen, which for years was arguably the best D1 conference ever in this game) had teams > 850 overall rating.

My cal tech team had a 703 rating post update in d3. I kind of think palm beach Atlantic under irrevocable I believe had 717 when I game planned against him in a national title game, again d3. Not 100 percent sure on that number though just kind of remember going holy crap when I saw it getting ready for the game.
