How does Machado go from a B range for his full season to a D- in his partial with the Dodgers?

I do note that Dodgers come up very poorly on range across the board, except for Turner (who is actually better than Arenado, A to A-). I think it's because Roberts moves guys around a lot and they play parts of more games at more positions maybe, driving down the per-game numbers.

Also, Machado's full season Orioles is 6.31M with C- range but his Dodgers full season is $7.60M with B range? Really big difference in salary, and odd that he has better partial season range with the Orioles but then worse in full season? Is that a mistake maybe, with the teams flipped?

Another very odd thing:

Check out how many really awful catchers are among the highest $/PA of the season for any position.

Jett Bandy? Carlos Perez? Bruce Maxwell? How are these guys mixed in with Trout and Betts?

They've stopped doing that. May revisit at some point.

Yes but he's in as DH only, so set position to all and don't check the secondary positions box.

It's their arm rating. There's some kind of flat fee for an A+ arm, I don't remember the details, but even guys who can't hit a lick will be 1mil if they can throw.

My feeling is you'll never see Ohtani the pitcher. They just pick one (hitter or pitcher) and ignore the other. Like Ruth '18.

They assign the season based on the number of appearances. If he appeared as a position player in 60 games, and 40 as a pitcher, he goes into the database as a position player. His pitching stats won't be available. You don't get both. Perhaps at some point they can give us both...

Apologies for such a long delay in releasing the new players. The old import process was exponentially more complicated than the other sports, even more than I thought. I also had to work around a few issues with the new data provider in order to validate the new process.

With that said, I did extensively validate the data, but it's possible that there are some minor issues. I'm happy to address anything that you guys find. The one known issue is that certain players didn't get linked to their previous seasons due to a name change. Doubt he sees this and not really worth a ticket I suppose, but the accents on names needs to stop.

Check out Bruce Maxwell. B+ arm. .516 OPS in 58 PA and he's $756K.

Also Chris Gimenez. B arm. .621 OPS in 66 PA for $790K.
